Years ago I worked in the parts department at a Kawasaki dealership and had a customer want to purchase a "speed thermometer" for his bike. Not kidding. It turned into a running joke that lasted for years.

Dude you’ll be hard pressed to get any good info in here. So, lets start with the basics, what color powerband does it have? You can get one relatively cheap and will definitely enhance your top speed.

I just bought a 90cc taotao pit bike, and online it says they go 35. Mine only goes 24 ,_, I'm thinking that i might have to adjust my CDI box?? I dont see...

Your first mistake was buying a TaoTao. PingPings are much faster. Maybe its running on one valve.

My brother has a 125 PBR pitbike, 4 gear pinned it’s around 40mph. When you buy chinese stuff, remember that there are some 1st, 2nd, 3rd quality standards. We all shouldnt buy chinese, but at least try to chose the best.

It has got an adjustable speed limiter- you’ll find it on the right side of the handlebar. Twist it back for fast, forward for slow. True story..

I feel for you kid ... my first dirt scooter was an 82 YZ490 ... man it would haul ass !!! ... I had usually fallen off by then.
