90cc chinese pit bike going super slow

Hey everyone, I know chinese pit bikes are super frowned upon by most of you hardcore japanese bike riders, but i just need a little help.

I just bought a 90cc taotao pit bike, and online it says they go 35. Mine only goes 24 ,_,
I'm thinking that i might have to adjust my CDI box?? I dont see any place on it to adjust it though so i do not think it's possible.

The bike is advertized as having an adjustable speed limiter but I can't seem to find it and there is no place on the carb to adjust the throttle or top speed or anything.

Please help Sad My friends' predator mini bike is faster than my pit bike and he's been laughing at me all day lmao.

It's a stock 90 Chinese pit bike. Maybe the Tuesday builds do 35, yours might be a Saturday build.
You jet carburetors, not use them to set a top speed.

Some of those Predators are 212cc right? The ones I've seen run much faster than any Chinese pit bike up to 110cc.

Have you tried riding it down a mine shaft? You'll be surprised....it may hit 40 mph.

yeah its a 212 but top speeds for those stock r only like 29-30

Dude you’ll be hard pressed to get any good info in here. So, lets start with the basics, what color powerband does it have? You can get one relatively cheap and will definitely enhance your top speed.

Your first mistake was buying a TaoTao. PingPings are much faster.

My brother has a 125 PBR pitbike, 4 gear pinned it’s around 40mph.
When you buy chinese stuff, remember that there are some 1st, 2nd, 3rd quality standards.
We all shouldnt buy chinese, but at least try to chose the best.

Dude, check to see if the carb slide is making full travel.

And

Most engines I see last few years are way lean., lower the clip and get a bigger main. 90cc likes a 90 at least

he meant smaller rear sprocket. Bigger rear sprocket will make it feel more powerful, but lower the top speed.

Oh, and its a 90. Your going to get smoked by anything more than a 50 or a 70. A two stroke PW50 will probably beat it.

Check the headpipe for a restrictor washer, if there is one, remove it. Just don't tell anyone you heard this from me.

Sad thing is, once you may get close to the Predator, he will drop a few teeth of his rear sprocket, put on a tuned pipe, and open up the air filter as he motors on to 40-45 mph.
