When Chase would "try" and challenge Jett, it was ok to root for Chase. When Eli raced Jett, it was ok to root for Eli. If Hunter races Jett, (and beats Jett, it's ok). In the past few years, these are the other 3 who have challenged Jett and we all wanted to see, or want to see them challenge Jett. But lo & behold, the 3rd fastest 450 rider who is improving vastly week after week, and happens to be a rookie, is dreadfully sometimes challenging Jett! Or at least keeping him honest. His racing actions and comments from the racing last couple weekends prove he is not humbled. His antics haven't changed. The Coenens were both only 1 race deep and were way more impressive than Deegan. If there's anyone for Jett to worry about it's those twins when they come over here to race full time.

I REALLY want someone to beat Jett. Having someone dominate is boring. Watching the races knowing rider A is going to win and everyone else is racing for 2nd place SUCKS.

Deegs is getting closer every weekend. Moto 1 closest hes ever been and now hes got Jet playing his game. Deegan makes the races exciting. I dont care if Jet wins or Deegan wins, I want to see battles. In years past Jet will holeshot and win, give the standard podium speech, rinse and repeat every weekend. Deegan was pretty respectful on the track. Not in anyway matching the off the track talk. He didnt even attempt to do anything dirty. And based on how everyone talks about it, no one mentions that. HE even talked about leaving the door back open for Jett and Jett making the pass back and it was history. Jett is elite at just about everything but IMO, he is best at his racecraft. There’s more to it than just numbers. Jett’s rookie season had guys with a total of 5 titles (not counting regional sx titles) combined. Haiden went into his 450 rookie season where the total combined titles (again, not including regional sx titles) is 22, plus Jorge Prado’s 4 World Titles. When RV went 1-1, there was Reed, who at that time had 2 titles. There’s no comparison. Deegan walked into one of the toughest classes in years, so looking beyond the numbers matters.

There are so many different factors to each season that simply saying so and so did this or beat that in previous years is just ignorant. Weege has a hard time not discussing his contempt for race fans, it slips out all the time, that he thought they were too dumb to figure out TV is just one example.
