Cool, thanks. We've had a few people from that area over before. Right now we are tentatively targeting Nov 17th to do a public ride day. Updates will be posted on the IG page.

Open year round. We are high dez at 4500ft so generally about 15-20 degrees cooler than the ridonkulous temps you see in Phoenix. Dirt is a mix of orange clay, sand, and DG so it takes water very well and our best riding is during the monsoon season when the other tracks get flooded out.

Don't forget Nomads in Sierra Vista! 😁 Yeah, it's "rough and ready" sometimes.. haha But it could really be something good if we had the membership/money. The problem is people want something good first. I am hoping we get there someday. In the meantime, we try to do what we can to keep it going. Also, what happens when the AMA violates their own rule and drops the gate <5 seconds after the card turn? Looks like it happens close to 10% of the time.

Human error, a guy looking at a stopwatch activates the gate, would be better to push a button when the card turns, and have a random timer 5-10 seconds later activate the gate.

3/26/2009 8:47pm Agree, completely blind sections would still need a flagger or two. The pic is just a sample; the system will scale easily to 15 light towers. With a little different internals we can hit 255 light towers, no problem.
