1/17/2017 6:16pm Nope, let them do it...for the small additional charge it's worth getting them to spin them off...

1/7/2017 3:58am No Technix is the Japanese 'agent' for Kashima coating... You're right about not being able to send parts direct. I used them as the price and turn around time was great.... Payment is easy, you'll get an invoice and payment link for credit card charge, it's straight forward, I've done a few now. Just flick them an email and it's...

1/6/2017 8:52pm Yep about right! Have you sent yours off Helder? I just got back two sets, 6 pieces for Kashima, express freight to Japan was AUD120 aprox and the total for 6 pieces was AUD740 aprox so for one set it's about AUD370.... They're awesome to work with! Email Tom, he's the international sales guys at Technix-great to work with! Turn...

12/21/2016 1:15pm I wasn't happy about using two base gaskets because of the port timing alteration in the future I will be replacing the cylinder all together and starting fresh. 98 is the standard here for most bikes, for some reason the fuel ratings and quality vary from that in the US... prett much anyone here will use 98 as the baseline...

12/21/2016 3:32am Thank you for the in depth response... Since this is a fresh engine from crank to piston to cylinder I'll have to check the squish to be sure it is ok. Is the 'dome volume' of much importance when ruling out detonation? I know that the relationship between the squish and dome volume is important ( correct compression ratio etc...

12/20/2016 9:38am Thanks Paw for the reply! I think the old gas isn't helping matters... I'll definitely get fresh gas in. What would you look for with the plug colour?? What would should the squish be?

12/20/2016 6:04am Just finished off building my CR125, sounds to me like its detonating ( rattling cans is the best description). I can't decide if it's just really crisp 2T sound.....lol.... It could be the older gas I chucked in to start it.... So I'll be starting there.... I'm curious as to what other signs there are to tell if I have...

12/18/2016 5:22am Just a quick update... Looks like it's solved and I should have paid attention to the nuts used........ I found the five capped nuts I removed when I pulled this apart.... What do you know, no leaks! I leave it overnight and see in the morning. I hope this is all solved.... Had me stumped for the most part of...

12/18/2016 4:57am Yea I was thinking about that..... It has just occurred to me that these are 'open' flange nuts... I need acorn nuts ( haha haha ) like these....

12/18/2016 4:46am No joy...it's definitely leaking past the threads now with washers installed. This has got me stumped...I've no idea why it won't seal??
stevo450 Started a new thread BUD Race head-Leaks coolant from cylinder studs
12/18/2016 3:38am CR125 06 with bud race head. Title sums it up.... It's clearly leaking from the surface where the flange bolt contacts the cylinder head... I'm guessing that you need to use copper washers in between the cylinder head and flange nuts since it uses o-ring head gaskets and the 'water jacket' is exposed to the studs? I disassembled this ages...
