SmoothOperator Added a reply to Do they not wrap head pipes because of looks?
2/3/2016 4:42pm I had the exhaust of my Panigale ceramic coated. I've debated doing it on my dirty bikes, but have never gotten around to it.

SmoothOperator Added a reply to Blurry Vision Forces James Stewart Out of Oakland
2/2/2016 10:51am I'm glad he pulled off. Head injuries are nothing to fool with. It makes me cringe when I hear of athletes getting concussions and coming back to it a week or 2 later. I've been a boxer and boxing fan most of my life and always think of middle weight champ Gerald McClellan when I hear about head injuries. 11...

2/1/2016 3:14pm This is a big one for me. The guys that revolutionized, or changed the way we do things and the guys who do things considerably different than the rest. Those are the guys that will always be memorable and legendary to me.

SmoothOperator Added a reply to WP 4cs forks
2/1/2016 12:52pm I just gleaned over this thread, and I must be the only one who likes the 4cs. It's not the best out there, but I've ridden way worse forks that didn't get near the hate the 4cs does. Oil level change and clicker settings, are the only adjustments I needed. 145lbs, +30A, '16 150sx, for reference if anyone cares.
SmoothOperator Added a reply to Dunes bike question
2/1/2016 12:38pm I have a crf450, and CR500. I really like the cr500 for "dune" riding. Its slacker head angle is nice for fult tilt runs across the sand, It's very forgiving. the lack of engine braking compared to the 450 is also a plus. It's suspension is lacking though. I put "dunes" in quotations for a reason. The dunes in North...
SmoothOperator Started a new thread Old school 4 stroke conversions and "works" bikes?
1/26/2016 5:52pm I'm more of a 2 stroke guy, but for some reason, the old works 4 stroke bikes, and conversion bikes tickle my fancy. Anyone have any in their stable, or have some old photos? I had this conversion Elsinore until last year. No idea who did the conversion, but it was cool none the less. XL125 motor, Powroll goodies, total...

1/25/2016 2:17pm Before I got my VOR, I had really toyed with the idea of a ADB Avenger. I thought these were wicked cool.

1/25/2016 7:51am Hybrid motors are cool. I'm surprised manufacturers havent done more with it. In the power equipment industry its pretty common. Stihl and Shindaiwa/Echo have been using them for years with great success. The sound out of those little motors is unreal. Couldn't imagine what it would sound like in a big motor.
SmoothOperator Added a reply to 16' KTM 150sx Vet review
1/24/2016 10:05pm I too own a '16 150, but race +30A. Freakishly fun bike. I came off a 450, and race against them. Rarely do I feel too outgunned. I don't have a problem with the 4CS fork. Just adjustments have worked for me.

SmoothOperator Started a new thread Indoor Tracks?
1/22/2016 9:33pm Been out of the moto game for a while. Are there any Indoor tracks in the PNW anymore? I know 321 is long gone, as is Hindsight, and from what I gather from a couple searches, is Clark County, and Salem, are gone as well. With as wet as this region is, I'm surprised the indoor tracks don't last.
