Studios can cast whomever they want - at their peril. Plenty of people will watch a black Little Mermaid or Snow White because they wear it like a badge of honor, a talisman to their wokeness. Others don't really care about the color of someone's skin and will watch for the story. Still others will boycott a movie because it doesn't meet their definition of "proper" casting. As for me, I'd prefer casting choices that make sense for the character involved. Incidentally, there was nothing in The Little Mermaid that specifies the mer-people were white, so why not a black...

My honest answer for Kev is...and not as some kinda smart-assed response; but, literally... Read ... The Real Anthony Fauci That book documents all of it and references information that's on the record and factual. Hence, Fauci and company ain't done shit about that book or the things it says...but... There is that "pardon"...that's a ringer to me. Any-hoo...the book is good reading and quite educational on all things discussed here-in.
