I made a post about riding a fast bike slow or slow bike fast. How do you ride and whats your goal, terrain, riding style. I ride a 450 in 3rd on up bc thats how they're most stable, but its boring. So ride the slower bike fast and swallow your pride but enjoy more laps.

2 actually and if you include SX. These Deegs fans sure are something. I picked Hunter, just bc he's building and building. With that said, I think HD won't make a leap until he gets a lighter, more nimble bike that suits his stature better.

Plus 50 here... 250fs are like play bikes with good suspension.... 450s can be gnarly beasts that wanna rip your arms out of the socket... ya, imma 250f guy now days... loll...

I rode mx on a 450. It was just too easy to short shift and hop over everything chugging along. Especially at 170 pounds. Downside was after 5 or 6 laps my arm pump was terrible. Once I moved to woods riding the short shitfing continues. Was on a 250xcf that I just went up a tooth and kept the revs low and momentum up. Same applies to the yz250x I had and now the 250xc tbi. For me pushing each gear to the limit is a blast but gear high and carry speed is substantially faster. Dont really matter...

I always enjoyed riding slower bikes fast more so than fast bikes slow. Especially at 155lbs. Even when I dabbled with track days, the small bores were more fun. Which do y'all prefer?
