It is so confusing how to watch all of the motos. I have youtubeTV that carries NBC and NBCSN. I use to do the pay NBCSN and gold and get the indycar package and motocross. Now it has all changed with Peacock. It is a little confusing how this all works. It appears that there are 3 peacock levels. Free...

if you go to sports section and scroll down, it shows qualifying. I imagine if you type in "fox" it will also show up. It didnt show for me either, probably because it isnt a "moto". You think they would title it "AMA Motocross Round 1 Fox Raceway Qualifying or Moto 1, Moto 2....." Or "AMA outdoor motocross....."

So great!!! I just discovered this forum and it’s great seeing all of these builds. That is some pretty lofty praise comparing it to a much newer Husky. Would be cool to hear how the bikes compare, power, weight, handling, etc. sometimes I hear people say the 05-08 generation is heavy and doesn’t turn well and not great suspension but...

I’ve been doing a bit of an overhaul or light build to my 2005 CRF450R. I found a Rocket Exhaust muffler for a ktm 450 sxf on ebay for a decent price and had a buddy that does exhaust work help me out. Ended up cutting the mid pipe off of my stock bike and welding the slip on portion...
So I have recently purchased an aluminum throttle tube that uses sealed bearings. I love the smooth action of the bearings and the durability factor. Something I didn't factor in, was what kind of grips to use. I was using Emig 2 lock-on grips. Obviously the lock-on grips come with their own throttle tube. Any good solutions to this situation...

rodH Started a new thread WTB: 2005-08 CRF450 header

I have a 2005 CRF450R and My header is creased/bent and dented. I thought I found a used FMF titanium Megabomb and purchased it (guy swears that it came off of his 2008 CRF450R, looking up the part number, its actually for a much 2014-16 CRF250R, not even close to fitting). The search continues and I am having a really...

Wow. The “eBay special” arrived in one day. Doesn’t look too bad (although I am not an expert metalergist and not sure how to inspect quality of the stainless or the overall quality, but the welds don’t look too bad).

Ya. I was aware of that as well. They are much much lighter than the X pipe and header, that being said, not sure why they don’t also buy aftermarket, but when you really look at it, they are getting headers for under $100 and the muffler/midpipe for around $100, which makes it a pretty good proposition. I do know...

You sure? Maybe it’s just a small thing as all the aftermarket companies seem to show 04-08 as the same part number, so maybe they are close enough?

rodH Started a new thread How to polish or refinish Titanium header?

3/23/2021 7:08pm
Anyone have any luck making their Titanium header look a little more new or better than the standard brown that they eventually become after so many heat cycles? This doesn’t pertain to any certain motorcycle or brand. (I have an FMF, but it happens to all brands). I know it is normal to turn that color, but would just like...

rodH Started a new thread WTB: exhaust header for 05-08 CRF450R aftermarket

Just having some fun adding a few items to my 05 450. Header is one of the last items I’m looking for. Preferably something like an FMF megabomb or power bomb or something along those lines. I already have a stock one that is fine, so that’s not what I’m looking for. I think some of the earlier CRFs use...

Great info. Thx for valuable info. Ya, I was faced with spending $10-12k for a new bike with eStart and all the new goodies, which also come at a large wt penalty) or add a few things to my perfectly good 450 I already had (I wasn’t interested in doing a half way job and buying a used one 3-5...
