Herlings racing Nats?

Edited Date/Time 6/4/2021 3:57pm
He's in Florida, and it's possible the GP series might get further delayed or cancelled. Is it possible Herlings will make a go at the Nats?

Is he in Florida or just trolling. I saw his IG and it didn’t look like Florida to me but I could be wrong. Would be sweet if true.

Would be cool to see him give it a go, although I imagine there is more to it than him just deciding he wants to.

It would be great...but I don't want to see him work over our guys every weekend. Once a year at the Des Nations is enough of a beat down for me. Smile

I don't see KTM just letting it happen. They'll want the combined firepower of Herlings and Prado to dethrone Gajser. What's cool is that Herlings himself always seems to have a personal interest in racing the nationals.

Considering he has missed the world title 3 out of the last 4 times it probably wouldn't be smart for him to add more races to his calendar

Looked more like Holland than Florida in his IG. Maybe he is just trolling?

That’s a funny way of saying Coldenhoff and Anstie.

Anstie will be around 5-10 most every moto, with a possible podium or two and MAYBE a moto win if the stars align... Coldenhoff could win races though...

Bingo. Herlings is super fast, but not even the best guy in europe. Or the mxon races.

I surely don't want our Euro brothers to lose their season but if the GP's did get cancelled...I'd love to see all those fast mofo's come ride our Nats. I think the deck would shuffle pretty well. The two sides have been isolated long enough.

Did he delete whatever he posted? I didn't see anything.

It would be awesome to see, but I'll believe it when he lines up.

Not that it ever could, because if pushed they would run all the rounds in one country in consecutive days weeks.
But If the Gps were cancelled, how would negotiations with sponsors, big and small progress, if riders did indeed migrated to the AMA,s?

It would truly be a world championship!

I'd go watch a race or 2 with him there. I don't expect it'll happen though but the US could use the excitment.

I can only dream, but wouldn't it be cool if the GPs got cancelled and all Euros ride the American circuit with point paying races depending on the finish position towards each separate championship (MX2, 250, MX1 and 450). And then you have one super crown FMOTP for the rider whom scores the most points regardless the series he is riding on?

Lol on a flat-ass, shitty track five years ago he lost after coming back from injury, but go ahead and ignore the races against AMA competition since then:

Glen Helen: 1-1 over JMart and Forkner
Ironman: 1-1
Florida: 2-1
2017 MXoN: Waxed AMA riders
2018 MXoN: Waxed AMA riders
2019 MXoN: Waxed AMA riders

Lol tomac at glen helen, florida mxgp , won a moto. Herlings didnt win the mxon . Do you really think searle is better than tomac or kroc. Get real. Since you want to bring up the injury excuse. Tomac was in title mode, marvin was leading til he crashed. See how that works. Or when j grant beat the worlds best at glen helen. Hmmm .

I'm all for weighing all the factors, but it's really hard to not give Herlings bragging rights. He made the trip over on a bike that wasn't his, a track he had never ridden, lines formed by AMA riders, and just laid waste. He put his money where his mouth was and won. Nobody else has has taken the steps to make that statement. I'd love to see a peak form Eli take on Herlings, but if you're going off of what has actually happened, you've gotta give baddest dude on a bike award to Herlings. If Eli has a problem with it, he can go borrow a KX from a GP team and show him what's up over there. Until then, or a future MXoN, it's pretty hard to say anybody (save maybe Gajser) is better than Herlings outdoors.

I would never discredit his speed, but to think the top usa cant run his pace is funny. Anderon beat him in a mxon moto. Why would a usa rider go race there, more $$ in the states sx,mx. Same reason herlings wont come full time in the usa $$$ .
