AMEN!!!!! Back to my original question. "Why do you dealers maintain parts departments when you so viciously defend your position of carrying nothing?" Next time you guys have to tell someone "no....but I can order it fer ya." Maybe you'll consider some change!

The same thing is eating up the gun industry. People can buy ammo cheaper online than anywhere in bricks-n-mortar. Guns can be purchased at the best prices and the dealers are only needed for the transfers. Gun dealers aren't all butt-hurt like a lot of this thread's parts dudes.

I still have more of a YZ85 inventory than ANY ONE of the Yamaha dealers in new england. Isn't that a head scratcher!!!!

So you have your "own inventory"? I'm guessing since you don't own a dealership means its a box or shelf of a few parts. That's not an inventory...That's just spare parts pal.

I carry cylinders, cables, pistons, 2 of every engine gasket, 3 clutches (soaked), tires, tubes, water-pumps, seals for all externals. Over $2000 in parts. so go pound sand

Yer right. It was my fault for not checking, but giving me 4 boxes of wrong tubes was THEIR fault. SO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE EXPERTICE WE GO THE THE PARTS DEPARTMENTS FOR? Again...better off staying way the fk away from weak, innefective...

But don't yiou think, given the "common items" I listed, they OUGHT to have them? I mean YZ85 sprokets from a Yamaha dealer? Sorry, but that's absurd that a Yam dealer would not carry those and trottle cables.
