Been trying to arrange a test with Keefer for more than two years now. He's always too "busy"...

I would love for you and keefer to get together for a day. You change a part (or change nothing) without telling keefer and he rides gives feedback. Aternatively tell him you changed something when you didn’t change anything. I don’t think it would ever happen cause there is no benefit to keefer but it would be an interesting video.

There's a significant marketing spin to some of the engineering changes they've made to the 2024.5 (2025+) chassis... For 2023 they took what was a well designed bearing and seal configuration on the previous generation bikes and made all the bearings the same size (and bigger), likely for cost/inventory reduction. Because of this, the entire knuckle got bigger, as did the bolts. This resulted in a much heavier linkage assembly. This, and similar changes throughout the bike, lead to the ~7 pound weight increase over the 2022, which is a pretty big step backwards. So for 2025, they decided to...

Can you elaborate on the floating axle? So in its entirety, here is what was updated. - Frame cutouts and slimmer wall thickness - Engine mount cutouts - Linkage bolt is thinner and seals are better - Swingarm was slightly updated to reduce wear
Those dealers must not know their shit. As long as its the "2024" Gas Gas Factory Edition, then you will receive the same updates KTM & Husqvarna received. This includes the motor mounts, updated frame, and the litpro thing along with some minor updates. If you look at the link below, it clearly states everything. 2024 GASGAS FACTORY EDITION MOTOCROSS...

Had a scan through this thread a couple of times and can't quite seem to work out the difference in chassis' 2023: First of the new gen chassis (too stiff for many) 2024: Same as 2023? 2024 FE: Updated softer chassis 2025: Updated softer chassis Do I have this correct? Thanks in advance

Yup that is right on the money. I dont think there will be anymore changes until the new chassis comes out in 2 or so years. Maybe some engine updates? But the 250 and 450 engines are rock solid so I have a hard time seeing anything coming up.

Twisted maps on our Husky 350 are amazing. MXA tested it and Josh Mosiman said "this thing is a rocket ship! almost as fast as my 450". The only engine mods are the Twisted mapped Vortex and an Akrapovic pipe. I especially like the power map with less engine breaking, but there are 10 to choose from.

just to make conversation, everyone complains about the stiff frame and anti squat, but the trade off is it rewards you with precise handling. I mean I can hit shit faster and it goes right through it. No kicks sideways, no pucker, nothing. Isn't that more important? It is to me. I can go faster, feel safer. I'll take that anyday over feeling plushness. If I want to just cruise around I can get an enduro bike.

It definitely does make the top part of the stroke softer. I only have a couple hours on it so it’s hard to say how much better it is on chop (haven’t played with settings/sag much yet). one thing I’ll say, I always felt like it was tough to accelerate hard out of flat sweeping corners, whether hard packed or soft and it hasn’t felt like an issue since putting it on, I’m able to just hold the throttle on and don’t worry about the back end stepping out

First question would be, is the suspension set up for the new bike and your skill level? Second, as stated above, you will need to give it at least 10 hours to break in. I’d say it’ll keep getting better until the 20 hour mark. I know, super long break in process but that’s how these KTM frames are. It’s...

Hey Vital. Thanks for the comments, good or bad. I get it. I don't go on here much but I do get second hand info from here, so it's popular! From what happened on Saturday, I deserve all the "I told you so" comments. "Keefer sucks, he's old, maybe he's not as good as he thinks he is" type comments are all warranted. I won't disagree, but I still think I could have made the 40 man field this year and still plan on trying, but until then, you guys that don't believe were/are correct . I am fairly self...
