Any body heard of other 2010 kx 450f's with premature cam lobe wear. Mine has around 15 hours and 2 cam lobes ( 1 on each cam of course ) have pitting/missing plating on them. All valves where in borderline spec. being on the stiff side.

Usually every brand comes out with a completely new model every 3 to 4 years. Yamaha and KTM have taken the lead. Honda came out with theirs in 2009, Kawasaki has been fine-tuning since 2008 ( although they FI'ed in 2009 ), Suzuki has been fine-tuning ever since their F.I. lead. 2008 i think!? When filling up my kayaba forks inner chamber, does the piston rod have to be fully extended or fully compressed inside the cylinder. My kawasaki manual says fully compressed, yet all videos of u-tube specifically warn me to have the piston rod fully extended. Can anybody with real on-hand experience tell me what to do, and if possible an explination...

I recentally verified the valve lash on a 2010 ktm 450sx with 20 hours of use. The readings that i noted surprised me. All the valves where OUT of spec by .001" on the LOOSE side. So if at 20 hrs the valves have this current reading, imagine how loose they where when the bike wasn't even broken in! (...

I turned my crankshaft the wrong way when finding t.d.c. can this cause any damage to the engine? Other than breathing and exhaling from the wrong valves, i don't see any problem.
