Have you talked to whoever did the work? Clearly something is not right, but you're best bet is to consult with who did work and give them a chance. Sometimes random stuff happens. My 2 cents

The rmz 450 went to the sff fork in 13 and 14. I liked the motor a bit better in the 13 up but the fork and even the chassis character was better on the 10-12. Look for one of those, they're phenomenal bikes.

Yes they will bolt right up. The only material difference is in the overall stroke (being slightly longer) so the tire could scrub your front fender on a full clanker. I've used both the gpr and the scotts on several different bikes. I feel like the fit and finish of the Scott's is better as well as the consistency of the feel from lock to lock, to me the Scott's is just a notch above performance wise. I do feel like gpr has better mounting solutions though and a cleaner...
