Gday drummer mob. Hardly ever visit non-moto but it’s raining here and a bit of a slow day. Here’s my young fella’s kit; old Premier with a mix of Meinl and Paiste cymbals. Nothing flash as I’m trying to teach him the value of having to work and save for things, so he’s built the kit gradually with everything second hand. He and a couple of mates play together as a three piece, mostly grunge and metal. They won their local high school Battle of the Bands last year as the youngest kids competing (13yo). It’s pretty cool seeing them...

Happy race day. Figured I'd share a pic of the sweet old Gretsch "Stop Sign Badge" kit I played at a session yesterday. 13x9, 16x16, and 24x14! Plus a couple of other recent kit pics since I was at it. My kit with a last minute porthole job that looks like it was done by a 5th grader, and an awesome Rogers Big R kit from a session down south (check out that Eric Valentine style "drumbrella" above me too)

I had that exact same bike. I replaced the buckhorn bars with dirt track bars.

I picked up a nail in the rear tire of my motorcycle that day, insignificant compared to everything else but it was personally memorable for me. It's red white and blue day at elementary school today, I don't expect that they get too far into it with first graders but I'll ask my kids what they did today in regards to the historical significance. My daughter really loves this skirt and she looks cute as a button in it.
