I got one last weekend to replace my KLR650 and my Guzzi Stelvio NTX. It’s a blast, I’m loving it. It’s ridiculously better than the KLR in every conceivable way, but especially at highway speed, it actually feels and performs like a street bike should. It’s not as comfy as the Guzzi for a long highway trip but certainly adequate enough that I don’t feel the need to keep it around just for that.

Can’t do too much about the 450lb curb weight, but at it’s price point you can afford to upgrade the suspension and have a very capable oversized dirt bike that is truly great on the street. I love mine, it really does feel like a big dirt bike with the suspension being it’s only major flaw. I’m going Ohlins on mine this winter while the snow flies. It has minor flaws but they’re all easy and cheap to fix. I won’t be worried about breaking down on a mountain in Peru and being able to ride it out to safety...
