mike.sullivan Added a reply to Peick Tyson's Punch-Out!!
1/11/2016 5:53pm The reason I hate the whole thug thing is because it really diminishes the stature of Supercross in the sports world universe. Professionalism runs along a spectrum. So the question is, which end of the professionalism spectrum do we want the sport to be on? Somewhere around MotoGP or more like UFC or Roller Derby? I vote MotoGP, but I...

mike.sullivan Added a reply to Cole Seely SX title favorite on RacerX?
1/1/2016 11:44am Watch Cole ride BMX and compare his roots to MC's. Remember, Seely took a couple years off so he's just now finding his groove. There's a SX title in his future if he decides he wants it. Zero doubt here.

4/4/2015 2:59pm What's eating RV? Three things - Nagl, Cairoli and DeSalle. Those guys are just flat out world class fast. When was the last time we saw RV hang on for 4th in two motos on American soil? It was just a matter of catch and pass over here. I'm as big a fan of RV as anyone - enough of...
mike.sullivan Added a comment about feature The AMA Comes to James Stewart's Defense
12/30/2014 10:25am Stewart didn't make the mistake, his team did. His job is to train and race. Period. He has a team around him to handle paperwork. They failed him, but James is a class act and you won't hear him throw the responsible party under the bus where they belong. That single dumb mistake not only costs Stewart and Suzuki two championship runs, it costs the Supercross series money. If his absence causes just 5% fewer fans to show up at the races, and that may be conservative, the real dollar cost to the series on ticket sales alone will easily...

mike.sullivan Added a reply to On Any Sunday - The Next Chapter
11/9/2014 1:57pm Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it, but if I didn't know it was underwritten by Red Bull I would after seeing it because their athletes were featured so heavily - Robbie Madison, Pastrana and Stewart, among others. It was shot in 2013, so I would expect Villapoto to show up, but nope. They also went really long on MotoGP and...
mike.sullivan Added a reply to 13yr old passed away today in Tx
8/4/2014 2:40pm What a sad tragedy for all involved. I can't imagine how the rider of the big bike must feel. In April of '13 I was running practice at RV when an 85 rider crossed into my line on the face of a tabletop forcing me to pick another line fast. I wound up missing the landing and crashing off the...
mike.sullivan Started a new thread Which Riders Have the Most Class?
1/27/2012 3:12pm The Outdoor season is over and it seems to me that two of the classiest kids in the sport are going home with brand new titles. Who can dispute that Dungey and Canard are two of the finest representatives of Pro Moto? Who are some of the other riders who consistently show up like men with strong character? Here are...

10/12/2010 11:23am [i]" ... every time I see another coward hiding behind an unoriginal username questioning the heart of a former champion like Stewart or Reed, or indulging in a fact-less character assassination under the same pretense. If you have all the answers to the sport’s riddles and rider’s problems, at least have the balls to take credit with your real name...

10/7/2010 10:46am 2011 will be an epic outdoor season. Being bold and calling it now for Villapoto. He will start off top five-ish for first few rounds, and then come on like a freight train as he gets his game back by race three or four. Hide and watch! Supercross is just a warm-up act for the real thing
