6/26/2025 9:20pm Its a solid bike all around. For sure the engine has never been apart but it looks like low hours. Some home made parts and make do parts were on it but its going to end up a fairly easy build. Both shocks are blown but I have new seal kits and friend that is has done remote reservoir Ohlins. May end up getting some Noleen piggyback shocks from Clark. It does have a double leading shoe front brake hub from a later model. Piston came this week and I have the carb ready with some suggested jetting. Mostly new...

6/24/2025 11:42am Just finished rebuilding two CR125s that you'll see in the background and didn't document the process whatsoever, so I figured i'll try to document this bike more. Bike: I purchased this from a woods rider in Mississippi back in 2020. It was in decent shape but neglected some basic TLC throughout the ownership. The forks and shock were completely depleted of oil and gas; bars and radiators were tweaked; and tires were long past due. I'll look for photos of when I purchased and supplement this post. I didn't ride it much but replaced some of the previously mentioned hard...

6/24/2025 9:00am Definitely an 88, many 1 year only parts, like seat, gas tank, rad shrouds….keep an eye on powervalve parts, they like to snap off and drop into top end…transmissions gears were very soft, and new gears are non existent …I would do a full teardown and assessment before committing to the project….cool find! This was mine when I brought it home 11 years ago….many parts were still avafrom Suzuki back then, I ordered all oem plastics from Suzuki, now NLA..

6/24/2025 8:58am I have been collecting parts, just missed a Pro Circuit pipe on ebay last week ;-( Stay away from FullFloater.com parts wise as never got parts ordered and had to file a dispute with my CC company. I did find one company that will build a pipe, just not sure if I want to go that route or fix the...

6/24/2025 8:13am Whats up guys Just scooped up this 88RM250. Got it off marketplace for 300 and the rolling lift jack stand. Had little to no compression but did turn over. Was told it was a 87, but after running the vin and checking some differences in frames, I figured out it is a 88. Going to be doing a restoration build on this bike. Turns out it is almost a 1 year bike so parts are looking tougher to find, but not impossible. Will be sending the cylinder out to get cleaned up and resurfaced. Thats where I will start and...

6/15/2025 4:45pm @sandman768 kind of weird the way I acquired it. In the middle of collecting parts and starting a resto on a '74 Yamaha TY250 and kept seeing this RM on CL, price got down to reasonable and I went and looked and got it even much lower. I've had many 250 & 500 MX's back in the 80's and 90's...

6/15/2025 8:04am Hello All, Over the long weekend a few weeks back I picked up a 1988 RM250 from the original owner. It was stored from 1996 till about a month ago when the owner decided to sell. My plan is to go through everything and make it as close to new as possible. Caliper and master cylinder rebuild parts are here...
