350 four stroke or 300 two stroke. Smooth power for the loose rocky climbs. I wouldn't want to be revving a 250f. And yes Estart is huge. A radiator fan would help in the middle of the bottle necks. A recluse helps huge if you don't have Estart. A big tank to avoid pit stops. One year I missed 2nd place in my class by 8 seconds. For you, patience and a good sense of humor. Yell something funny to all the check point workers. It's a really long day out there. Have fun!!!

I did it last year on a 350 sxf. No issue with the motor / platform. MX suspension, is not desirable ha. I’d argue XCF suspension would still not be desirable. I would be comfortable going on 350/250f or 300/250 smoker, so long as not a MX smoker

If you believe the weather app, the heat is supposed to hit before the weekend now, and then Saturday will be relatively mild. I would say this plan is probably the best, if it was my son and I it would be a risk to spend all that money on VIP or exclusive areas and then have him be over it halfway through the first moto. Just my opinion but I'd get general admission and pit passes, hopefully he can meet Jett and then everything after is just a bonus for time with your son. Leave when he's over it...

Just an FYI, as another option is Tom Zont Racing (TZR) can flash the stock ECU up to a 2022 for $120 shipped back to your house. I just had mine done by him. I haven't rode the bike yet but my experience with flashed stock ecu's in the past has been very positive.
