3/2/2025 3:16pm recently rebuilt 04 ktm 125 bottom and top. The engine has less than 1 hr on rebuild. squish is set correctly and had a local guy check ring gap, check exaust porting, and tune carb to make sure it was correct. He gave me the go ahead. the cylinder was sleeved by la sleeve. Looks like a lot of scoring...

ianm24 Started a new thread New Reeds or keep running these?
10/13/2024 8:17pm I know when reeds are delaminating they say to replace them. My issue is I have an early 2000's ktm and I bought new reeds but they don't sit flush against the cage at all. I would like to avoid spending $140 on Delta 3 reeds so I put the original worn reeds back in the cage and they sit...

9/25/2024 8:20pm I just got back in from doing that. They were definitely sticking and gummed up. Fresh grease and boots and will keep working on it in the morning.

ianm24 Started a new thread KTM Reverse Bleed but no pressure in brake lever
9/24/2024 6:41pm Hey guys, I've finished up the engine rebuild on my 04 KTM 125sx. The last thing I needed to do was rebuild the master and slave cylinder for the front brake. I put in new seals, cleaned them each out, and put in new springs, copper washers, and plunger. I cracked the bleeder on my caliper and pushed dot 4...

ianm24 Started a new thread Sloppy front brake lever
5/12/2024 7:04pm Rebuilding my first bike and noticed how sloppy the front brake lever is. I've bled them a ton and doesn't fix my issue. Do I need to buy a rebuild kit for it? There's pressure at the end of the lever pull but if pumping it never builds up to what a good brake lever should feel like. Link is...

ianm24 Started a new thread How should I clean up my cylinder head?
5/5/2024 7:41pm Rebuilding my first bike (04 KTM 125) and there's some metal fragments stuck to the top of the head. My mind tells me not to take a wire wheel to it to clean it up so I don't remove any excess material. What is a good way to clean this up?

ianm24 Started a new thread Is my clutch hub junk?
4/3/2024 2:55pm I put my clutch holder on yesterday and when I tried to remove the nut with my impact I lost grip on the holder and it popped off and chipped my clutch hub. I found the broken piece on the ground but is is junk now? I found a replacement online for $100 if it is but dont want to...

ianm24 Started a new thread Condition on my crank case
3/22/2024 8:39pm I'm rebuilding my first bike (ktm 125) and learning a lot. I noticed a lot of metal material in the cases when I split them and noticed some scoring and gouges on the walls that surround the crank. Curious what peoples opinions are on these and if it's anything to worry about. I'm new to this so looking for some...

ianm24 Added a reply to Question on state of my cylinder
3/7/2024 6:43pm thanks for the info. if it were you would you get it resleeved to the stock piston size, cut it deeper and replate for the oversized piston, or just get a new jug for $485?
ianm24 Added a reply to Question on state of my cylinder
3/7/2024 5:55pm ok, I will defininetly call powerseal tommorow. My only last question is I just found a new jug in the UK and can get it to my door for $485 would you still advise I get it fixed if it'll cost me around $300-$350 or would I be better off just buying a new jug?
ianm24 Added a reply to Question on state of my cylinder
3/7/2024 3:50pm he said Millinium said they couldn't replate it. there is a jug on ktm world for $650. I don't want to go that route with how expensive that is with that being said a sleeve is my only remaining option correct?
ianm24 Started a new thread Question on state of my cylinder
3/7/2024 1:07pm I'm brand new here so hopefully im doing this right. My brother and I just bought a 2004 KTM 125sx and the guy we bought it from said the cylinder needs resleeved. He said he sent it off to millennium and they said it couldn't be replated. it looks like its in good shape besides the 2 areas on the...
