Be aware that 1.14mm converts to 0.045". Thats 45 thousandths of an inch. Very good squish number. You have posted 0.0045". Thats 4 1/2 thousandths of an inch. Way, way too tight.

Hello, I already had one topic in here but this is an update. UPDATE: There were a totally noise bolt in the powervalve!! the middel one, which caused it not to open fully, and for some wierd reason make ik Ping in the exhaust

Im putting in a new gasket.. i heard 1,14 mm is very tight, and the rinaldi doesnt help it :/ Im running a vertex now

Did not clean it at all :/ But i found out my squish is very small at 1,14 mm, so ill run another base gasket i think... Ill try celaning the power valve too!

After piston change my bike started pinging. I measured the squish and it’s at 1,14mm, and I run with a Rinaldi head which makes better compression... should I get a bigger head gasket?? I heard 1,3 mm is minimum for a 250 2 stroke, but can’t find much about it. But this would explain the pinging.

Sounds scary :/ the jetting is already Rich, so ill try so look up the squish... but i dont hear anything from the crank personally :/

I'm hearing a bit of a bearing growl. Almost sounds like a bad big end bearing of the connecting rod or a bad main bearing. Listening to videos is very difficult to diagnose and it's way better to hear in person. For sure something doesn't sound right to me. I would inspect the lower end rod bearing for radial play and take the stator cover off and try to wiggle the flywheel up and down and back and forth. You already have it torn down, you might as well inspect everything to avoid a catastrophic failure.

Octane 100 with 5% ethanol dit not help.. stil pings, but puls like crazy, and starts 1 st kick

Hello, I just did a piston change on my 250yz which have done 80 hours total. It started first time and went racing no problems... But It has this ping or ding sound and I don’t think it made this sound with the old piston... I think it might be because of the better compression, but not sure.. my buddies...
