dx787 Started a new thread Rm125 cylinder difference?
9/17/2017 6:53pm I just bought a new cylinder for my 01 rm125 from partzilla. My current head has a cast section on the left side where new one is open. Am I missing something??

9/17/2017 12:10pm Im good with that. I just added all the parts for new power valve and it came out to $612 without shipping and there was one piece that was obsolete that I would have to hunt down. I'll verify the head was an 03, return this 01. Thanks for all the input bruce

9/17/2017 11:37am Would I be better just swapping the 01 I bought out for the 03 cylinder and reusing the powervalve? Some of the parts are "obsolete" and would be another $400 to buy them . Is there an advantage to the adjustable powervalve? Why did they discontinue it. Gotta love used stuff.

9/17/2017 9:45am Awesome, that's the info I needed. Next question is will powervavle from this cylinder work or will I need one specifically for an 01/02 cylinder. The parts were on a different diagram so that's why I didn't see them. search/Suzuki/Motorcycle/2001/RM125/EXHAUST+VALVE+%28MODEL+K1-K2%29/parts.html

9/17/2017 8:38am Bike was used and current cylinder had been sleeved. Don't know if it is what came on the bike stock. But now that I have the new cylinder, what goes over the new opening? The diagram on partzilla doesn't show anything covering it. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Suzuki/Motorcycle/2001/RM125/CYLI…

9/17/2017 5:21am Part number is 11200-36840 which is for k1/k2. I googled 01 rm125 cylinder head and all images had the open power valve. On partzilla diagram, there doesn't show a cover. But there is two threaded holes so im assuming there is a cover plate?
dx787 Started a new thread cylinder head inner o-ring keeps blowing
8/1/2017 7:45pm I have an 01 rm125. Low sided around a turn, fired it up and got bike back to truck, not far, then wouldnt fire. Popped off head and the inner o ring blew which is what im assuming caused the coolant to flood the cylinder. Took the exhaust off and poured out maybe a half of a bottle of water...

7/10/2016 8:06am Thanks for all the input guys. Got the new ones ordered, will the needles on the new bearing fall out as easy? From the pictures of new ones, they look like they stay seated when sitting horizontal. Just want to make sure i dont have them falling everywhere on the install. Out of all the forums i belong to, I...
dx787 Started a new thread pivot bearing removal
7/7/2016 5:35pm I removed my rear shock to replace it and the rear seal popped off on accident and a bunch of needle bearings came falling out. It looks as if theres two bearings in there. What is the best way to remove the bearings? Do the need to be pressed out or is there a way to remove them without removing...

10/8/2015 3:44am The cylinder walls looked brand new. No scratches. The only thing was on top of piston along outer edge was a tiny looking "burn" but couldn't feel any defect. Ill most likely pull it back apart to check ring gap and take a few pictures and try and upload them.
