About Me

1970's three-digit wonder that hung it up in '78 and went on to school... lots of it. A bunch of degrees and 25 years later, I returned to the sport at the insistence of my two teenage sons. It's a family thing now.

He's still around....playing on his road race bike in the Southeast. He hung out in the paddock with us at the Atlanta SCCA race last spring, actually.

I’m your age and I was always amazed at how you could do what you do for a living. I remodel houses which isn’t easy but I know it’s not near as brutal as hiking up and down hills in all sorts of weather. The flying around every week would be enough to make me give it up. Glad to hear you are able to make the break and get to enjoy life a little more. You deserve it 👍

Good Luck in your future endeavors Steve! Its going to be weird not seeing you at the races, I first met you around 2005 or 2006 on the infield at Binghamton, I probably still have your Transworld business card in my desk. I'm sure I asked you a few too many questions while you were trying to work in the media tent over the years. Well, I asked You, TFS and Shan Moore when he was around a lot of questions over the years. lol I'll be 61 next month and the years are catching up with me too.

I was in that pic back there somewhere by Moates. That track was by far the most real motocross track I've ever ridden. Bauer rode the 250 class that day.

And yes, I'm driving these days as well....just not nearly as fast as the kid. My USF2000 car at COTA.

Pssst.....Scottie/all......not F1, but it's remotely moto-related and US F4. My 15 y/o son just got a seat with Crosslink. Watch for the press release in the next few days. I'll try to post up details on what's going on when I'm at the computer later. Details at Drivel or Dos if you still have your sign on's. Couple of pics...
