Nope, would be another 30 feet downhill or so. Bill, I have lurked around here for a while...just couldn't pass up all the people talking about JS changing his line when that was the same line he took for 5 laps before the crash. Smile

I'd just say you have to suck it up and wait it out. No offense, but this is pretty common when you outsource simple machining over seas. Are these parts so special that the local machine shop or fabricators cannot make the order?

The decision to walk away is a business decision that I wouldn't take lightly. Reputation is an important thing. Without more details I can't and wouldn't say to do that anyways. Perhaps a few more phone calls explaining your situation and politely mentioning that if they cannot complete the work, you will find someone who will? I am surprised that...

Well, that changes things slightly I am sure, GuyB. Old Fart, that is when it is so windy that random debris is flying around the track at velocities capable of severing limbs. Wink

Yup, and a crap ton of starburst as well! I have watched the race from the Vickery tent the last three years. Can't say enough good thinks about that shop.

What does your contract say with regards to meeting deadlines? That's really all that matters. A typical contract will make provisions for penalties on late delivery. If you don't have a solid written contract, possibly they put your order off to complete someone's who did? Pure speculation, but this highlights the need for more than just a "handshake" when it...

I agree, we were hanging in the "open to all" Vickery Motorsports tent. They did not make us evacuate. Thanfully, as I left the rain gear at home. Ooops.

Surprised there wasn't more easy ups blowing around. It was funny to see them all retracted to two feet off the ground with 20 people each hiding out. Smile
That's why I picked that spot to spectate. With the width and line choices, t was a the location of a lot of passes.....and a lot of crashing too lol. Probably about 70% of the crashing was in that corner throughout the day. The rest for some reason seemed to be concentrated right below the announcer's tower in the right...
As for the discussion of line choice, that was a basically the same line he took through that corner every lap. The fast line was outside due to less braking bumps, squaring off in the sand and hitting the roller out of the corner about dead track middle.
I was standing on the fence right there when that happened. Same spot where the mystery man crossed the track. Funny that no one crashed because of that stuff all over the track? Honestly, I didn't even notice the guy crossing the track before bubba wadded it up in the next corner. I don't think anyone there really did...or at...
