Another thing worth looking into if you have the mikuni tmx carb is the jet block gasket. Most seem bee bad not sure if its from factory or just over time but it makes jetting easier you end up chasing your tail otherwise. Also if you do need a new gasket i think its jd jetting who makes an uprated...

I gained some stability but lost some of the sharp turn in feel. So its a trade off and depends on your preference. The longer link is definitely better for sand. I find I can achieve similar results by adding a few mm of sag. The longer link also makes the shock a little stiffer initially, which again can be good or bad. I ride more mud/hardpack and UK tracks are a little slower and tighter than US so the link didn't benefit me. But on big, fast, open tracks I think it could work a lot better

Thanks for your input would you mind saying what you didn't like about the longer link. I was looking for a setup that felt a bit more stable in the straight lines but still corners well it can be a bit twitchy in certain situations. And i thought maybe a lower centre of gravity might make hunker down and hug...

Was wondering if anyone would know if it's an easy swap to fit a rm 250 keihin air stryker on my 07 rm 125? My concerns are if the tps wires are the same so they would connect to the ones on my bike also will the throttle cable work and would the throttle slide be too rich or lean...

Thanks for starting the thread.. IF all contributing parties remain civil and open-minded... this could prove to be very informative discussion...You will, most likely, find some "words" or "theories" that contradict one's long time beliefs. Please remain open minded if this happens. One of the main reasons for this topic is to "dive in" to many of the "parroted" and "regurgitated" info that is running rampant via forums and social media. One such example is that squish clearance determines the octane requirement.. Another is that cranking compression determines the octane requirement.. There are other in the area of combustion as...

I have an 07 Suzuki rm 125 i was looking to do the mods to the drain plug and splash guard also loop the overflow hose, does anyone know if this helps on other bikes with the tmx performance and make it slightly less fussy. Hopefully someone with more carb knowledge than i have can help with this.

That would be great if you could would be interested to hear his opinion if he has one, the looping the hose aapparently is something to do with making it harder to spill fuel from the bowl it's probably more for the enduro stuff but i figured it cant hurt and it's easy to do or undo if not.
