I rode a '96 that I bought new and it is one of my all-time faves! I rode it for 3 years before I bought my new '99 KX250.......wish I still had the RM. Yes, the forks are the best I've ever tried, even bone-stock and I've had over 50 bikes! The guys saying they're "slow" are confusing to me...

I'm sure he's saying RR never rode Cannondale as a pro! Cause he raced for Team Kawasaki, primal Impulse Honda and Team Suzuki. If he'd stayed healthy, who knows? Cause he was as fast or faster than anyone on the track at any given time........just could NOT stay healthy!!

That bike is definitely a '79 with '80 fenders and graphics! Look at the swing arm mounted chain roller and the funky chain guide, both 1979 only items.
