Cary Kellum Started a new thread Oil pump failure FX 350???
3/3/2022 5:26pm Have any of you experienced Oil pump failure, and seized top ends, on Ktm and Husqvarna? Because my top end is all chewed up, from lack of oil.And I have meticulously maintained this bike my fresh filters and oil every eight hours. I just turned over 93 hours. The cylinder head is toast, and the camshafts are junk.....

Faulty oil pump drive gear, and or Or metal particles plugging the ports To the camshaft walking the flow of oil. Do you have any of you experience this with your Ktm or husky?

6/7/2020 9:30am If it is a micro leak on the head gasket, get some bars leak and put a couple tablespoons in the radiator, I’ve used it on water cooled four strokes before and it’s done the job. If it is a coolant leak. It could buy you some time. And it lubricates the water pump!

6/5/2020 10:56am Many places that do cylinders will do head repair. CVTech repaired my head after damage from lack of oil. Just be carful that the repair does not warp the head/cam journals and you have to shim.

5/30/2020 6:35pm It’s a tough situation. I feel for you guys. I’m really bummed about my $11,000 dirtbike, that I haven’t been able to ride for 2 1/2 months because of the Covid thing and my local track being closed. I loaded up my bike and headed to the track two weeks ago fired it up on the stand and it ran...

5/30/2020 11:22am Have not checked out my oil pump gear yet, I still have to try to diagnose the cause of the problem. From my research I found that this is a frequent problem on these engines. Metal filings in the engine to plug the ports and or a faulty oil pump. I will update you in the future. Pending further investigation

5/29/2020 10:21am I can give you my two cents worth on the spring conversions I am familiar with. This will be generic info as you didn't mention your bike. Don't know anything about lucky. Technical touch has a KYB conversion. That is the priciest but will probably work the best. You will need to do the valving as it comes without shims or recommended starting stacks. Don't know specifically about the FC spring conversion. I do know about spring conversions in general. You want one that has external preload adjustment. That makes a HUGE difference in tuning the bike. You will also...

5/26/2020 6:17am If I get that leak down tester, I need to put the bike engine at top dead center on the compression stroke? And if there’s no leakage, I have clear intake passage, the pump and injectors spraying fuel, and I know that the plug is sparking. Would that Indicate that one of the sensors for the engine has failed, GPS...
