Update: Rebore and new piston/rings with correct clearance of .002. Runs like a dream. Starts within 2 kicks now. Thanks for everyone's help and input.

No port work has been done. I thought clearance was a bit excessive myself. I didn't take anything off the ring gap and was curious to why the gap was so big??? Even if the wall clearance was down to .002 the ring gap would still be on the high limit ... more »

I work at a machine shop so I did the work myself. Wiseco states that it should be bored at the measurement that the oversize is, and that the piston is made to fit with correct gapping. I checked myself and had .003 piston to bore clearance.

Ok thanks. Yea i had seen the PC pipe deal also. Would much rather have the works pipe or a DG but we'll see. How well does the aftermarket seat cover match color to the original in person? Looks pretty good in the pics. I may hit you up in the future ... more »
