Whooped everybody who?

I mean, seriously?

I like Cairoli, I think he's a great rider, but who exactly did he "whoop" at the USGP last year?

wasn't Mike Alessi there? on a suzuki? do i have my years wrong as i thought WMX only went there the once last year.
Alessi was there on a KTM 350.

yeah he was, my mistake. i though Alessi was still suzuki at that race. Regardless, the bike showed its fine and also in the MXON - Alessi just needs to get whatever it is he lost after his knee.

I think alot of you guys are smoking the Chronic. Mikey is one of the best outdoor riders around. In 08 he was the only rider to even see James Stewart and in 09 he had the title wrapped up and sealed until the kneecap. Not really sure what happened last year whether it was the 350, the attitude, or just burnt out but that wasnt Mikey. When Mikey believes in himself and his bike there are only 2 people I think that can run with him consistantly, RV and Stewy. This year he is either going to come out red hot or flat again. We will know how Mikes season will go by about the 3rd moto.
title wrapped up and sealed?

wasn't it like the 4th race in?

jesus... RV had this thing wrapped up 5 weeks ago... look what happened there

Then he have to belive santas 350 is still a 350 as well? Do your friend on the Husky still have faith? Read a article about him lonely and bored sick alone in Italy. Hope he 's father buy a Japanese bike and put him back on track again. Wish him good luck because i saw him practice once and he's really talented. But i told you Husky is crap as same with Ktms from ordinary shops. Stay away from Italians. You always get BSed.

Can't see that happening. He should have done it by now if it was going to happen.

pretty funny seeing this thread today...

for some reason i had a dream about the next SX race last night and MA800 holeshot, there was a little pile up and he won the thing!

I have never had a dream about pro racing at all, it was really strange...

No, i am not insinuating in ANY way that i think i saw the future or any dumb shit like that... just sayin it is funny that i had that dream last night and then this thread appeared...

When Mike was on the 450 he smoked most of those guys with the exception of JS. RV was there for one moto but we don't know how 09 would have turned out if RV stayed healthy. But after RV went out in 09 no one could touch him. He was winning by 30 seconds. Last year the 350 sucked. No one to develop for US racing. He was riding on practically SX suspension. He was being bucked everywhere and being pulled in the hills and loamy sand. With Mike back on a 450 and healthy it will be interesting. That being said, I want to see some close racing like SX this year with multiple winners.

You know, I hope you're right.

With the field like it's gonna be this year for the Nats, one more contender will only add to the excitement.

Don't know what's going on in the young man's head, and why he hasn't looked like himself for quite a while now. Just hope he works it all out. It'll definitely suck for him to someday turn old and look back knowing he could've been there. And we all know he's more than capable.

I hope he is in the mix. Strange watching him suck so bad at SX considering he's getting thrashed by guys he's beaten outdoors.

i see him getting sporadic wins, but cant see him getting a title. 5th place overall.

He will be on 450, RD in his corner (don't discount Tony's contribution also), his holeshot capabilities have returned. Talk about the stars aligning in your favor. The hell with the Navy Seal more like the Alessi Supremacy.

Yea, I'm a fan.

ya mike's gonna be on the 450 this year though, I think he will be right up there with dungey
you could have put him in an F15 last year and he wouldn't have won an overall... I am not a Dungey fan at all I am the RV bandwagon through and through.. but it is silly not to put Dungey on the list with RV and Stewballs. Give credit where credit is due.

I have said this for years. NOPE. Not gonna happen.
He had a shot, but just won't happen.
Dude is fast but lost his best chance having crazy people around him, not listening to real mentors (Roger D).
Now the class is faster than him, RV,JBS, Canard, Dungey,
And the new crop will be better than him. Pourcell, Barcia......
Lost the formative years

Havnt seen as much of Mike as you guys but the harder!,more technical or longer it goes the more ive seen him beaton.
Eg. The world minis he won heats but both times i went Millsaps ran him down in the finals,eg he looked good in early lights races but Villo ran him down and left him,eg he has lead 450 early rounds but never late season rounds, SuperX he looked the fastest lap1 but he got more reckless the longer he went fast and he buckles in the whoops,AMA sx he looked great for 1 lap then fell apart. Does his body and brain wear down quicker than the other guys?
