I thought it was interesting to hear his opinion on the bike. Especially after he has ridden just about every other manufacturer.

Hondas really are the best bikes to buy. No question about it. I'm sure after the factory bikes are in racing condition all of the bikes are pretty even. But as far as stock bikes go, I say honda is the best for sure. This is coming from a Suzuki guy.

He was great on a Suzuki in 09 so you would think he would pick that. But then again Suzuki chose Dungey over him so there may have been some negative feelings there.

What's a Honder? Laughing

Seriously though, I brought this up about 2 months ago because he's the first factory rider to make me consider switching brands due to his race results and how comfortable he looked. I have never made a purchase decision before based on factory teams and riders.

What you don't think he could have chosen the Suzuki after all he knows that was a great bike and he even won the title on it and had his settings dialed in on it and could could have taken tje Yamaha as well which he knows pretty well but yet he stil chose the Honda. MMMMMMMM maybe it is the BEST stock bike out there and i think Chad's choice has proven that.

No one has mentioned that the Honda might be the best bike "for him" . Come on, this is moto, and personal preference is big in this sport, i don't think there are any night and day winners. Although this video does make me want to go out and ride the Honda and see what its like, lol.

and what a coincidence, this video gets released when Chad has a chance at the title. Honda knows they can boast about the fact Chad "choose" to ride a Honda, so they are going to milk that for all its worth, and who wouldnt? It makes business sense

Emig wins 100K on a stock YZ after he gets fired? Stick in pipe, then smoke it. It's the rider, not the bike.

He's obviously never ridden a KTM.

He'd hate that Honda if he had.

He hit the nail on the head. All the same reasons I've rode Hondas since the mid 90's. They fit like a glove. If Honda built a 350 I would right at the front of the line to buy one.

He rode a 350, said if no one told him he would swear it was a 250. So there you go....

Its obvious he likes the honda but half of his reasons he gave were absolute crap.

"in the outdoors, Shorty was getting lots of holeshots"
"hondas are known to not break down so i wanted to buy a bike that I didn't have to work on a whole lot"
"it feels like a 2 stroke"

LOL

Are you kidding me

Suzuki chose Dungey's paycheck more like it...

They went for the cheaper option there for sure...

He has said from the beginning that the Honda has felt a lot like his old 2 strokes in terms of WEIGHT, which I would agree with... The Honda 450s are more compact than the other brands.

He wanted to ride a pro circuit bike, and Honda is best choice. There has been a pattern with Mitch and Honda's lately...

I remember a Reed podcast with Matthes about the end on 2009 where he talks about how big of a diffrence tyrebrands and factory tyres vs shop tyres have, in the same podcast he briefly talks about M. Byrne not doing good at AUS Supercross and he says its mostly because Byrne was riding a Honda and Reed thought that if you start developing from a stock bike the Honda would be the worst of them all.

Thats why it seemed odd to me when he showed up at AUS Supercross on a private Honda a year later.

Didn't Honda make huge improvements with the 2010?

People think this is going to sell a lot of Hondas? bahaa, the only cool part about that was admitting he loved his 2strokes.

Seems like everyone wants a bike that FEELS like a 2 stroke, but they also want to get paid and win so the 4-stroke handicap rule change continues to show it's flaws.
