It would almost seem as if it was written by a person who had no first hand accounts. As if they were a thousand miles away when it happened and hadn't even gotten a statement from any of the parties involved.

It's oddly ironic that Cox's keyboard would have a created something like this only mere hours after throwing somebody else under the bus for the same thing. I guess a race report is a higher standard of journalism than reporting on a star of the sport's arrest. Not even an offhand mention of either side refusing to return calls regarding inquiries into the matter. Although he does credit "the news articles" he used to get the "facts". I can see now how the moto-journalists are so superior than the message board chatter that scooped it.

Just listen to what we tell you and move along. Seriously, there's nothing to see here. Here's some pictures of dirt bikes and pretty monster girls to keep you amused. We have some press releases to feed you when you're done with our opinion perspective. It's not like we bring you "real" news or anything right?

Since everyone is making up scenarios how about this one. Some off duty cops are dicking around in their personal vehicle and won't GTFO of the fast lane like most cops like to do on or off duty. JS tries to pass so they speed up, JS flashes his lights and turns on the blue and red flashers, they get out of the fast lane but try to flash their badge. I don't know about you but I personally will not pull over for some yahoo flashing a badge.

He didn't run from the cops, he wasn't evading, he drove on to the airport and got pulled over and cooperated with real cops in real cop cars with real cop uniforms.

There was probably asshole moves by both parties to begin with.
