Who’s listened to Gypsy yet?  Anyone have a hack to maybe delete Gypsy’s rambling ? Be nice to just hear the questions and then listen to Blake speak.

Still trying to figure out who the heck Ahmed Ajhiffet is.  He credits him at the end of every pod.

Key themes from the interview include:

  • The Transition from Racing to Business: Blake discusses how he went "cold turkey" from professional racing to focus on running a family-owned steel business (0:06:38, 2:37:43). He explains that he approaches business with the same intense discipline, scheduling, and "grind" he once applied to his training and racing (0:07:46, 0:31:14).
  • The Life of 'El Chupacabra': Throughout the conversation, Blake reflects on his career, including his 2012 Pro Motocross 250 Championship (0:15:06). He shares behind-the-scenes perspectives on his legendary speed, his unique riding style, and his ability to charge late in races (0:36:30, 1:07:05).
  • Iconic Moments: The discussion revisits famous career highlights, such as his daring wall jump at the Freestone race in 2012 (1:38:07) and his gritty performances while managing injuries (2:17:38).
  • Mindset and Motivation: Blake opens up about his philosophy on success, explaining that for him, racing was a job fueled by dedication and the goal of being the best, rather than a pursuit of fame or media approval (1:21:10, 2:28:33).
  • Blake concludes by emphasizing that he is content with his current life away from the spotlight, managing his company with a small, efficient team, and prioritizing his family (2:39:07, 3:06:10).

the el chupacabra late race comeback wins will forever be burned into my memories. Was like mediocre ride then 10 min mark boom he clicks it into gear and goes off. Will forever be a fan. May have to dig into YouTube and watch a few now.

Was hoping for more details about the split with Butler... he didn't say much. Still under NDA maybe?

Say what you want about Gypsy.. he is a bit much for me at times too, but man, he gets the interviews!
Must be quite respected amongst the riders.

The Gypsy guy does talk too much imo.... I can deal with it but at times I m like "hey - I came hear to listen to the guest speak... not you. So zip it"...But none of us are perfect and he does bring value to media side of the sport. And gets some long format interviews that are good!

What I will say I don't get is that .. a theme rant or... not sure what to call it ... but at the start of the pod he says something like "I got to jiffet". Please... please stop doing that. Pretty please. I have no idea what he's saying and ... its not working. )

Do you know if the buyer kept it a track, or was it bought by developers?

Best part of the entire interview was his take on keyboard warriors.

Bought by Dix Development for $4.875M, they have named the proposed subdivision Blake Ridge in his honor, set to contain 216 homes. I live a couple miles away so it's a bummer for me, we already have so much new development here. I think Blake bought the raw land in like 2012 era for around $400K, and if I remember correctly it already had the PUD rights.
