Maybe if Shane had hair 😂.
But I do see what you’re saying.
Tomac, Hangtown on a Honda🤘 got to see him get his first win in his first pro race and was there when he crushed everyone by a mile his last year on Honda
Yes I did see Jett go 22-0. Followed by people swearing it was just cuz the "field was weak"...I predict he does it again before he retires 🙃
I'm a bit younger then most, but in every era we all have seen some insane things in person
Everts vs Stewart MXON 2006
Herlings first win in Valkenswaard at age 15
Herlings lapping the field in Lierop 2012, except v Horebeek
Personally, seeing Coldenhoff going 1-1 two years in a row at MXON was amazing as a fan.

I was at Ettelbruck, Luxembourg in '82 to see Brad Lackey win his historic 500 world championship. It was the final round and going into it he was locked in points with Andre Vromans. It was a classic old school track, choppy & dusty. I remember seeing him getting mobbed by the fans when he wheelied over the line.
Those were the days.
I was at:
the LA Coliseum in 97' for McGrath's debut on Suzuki of Troy.
Spartan Stadium when David Pingree won his first supercross in 1995 (not sure history was made there, LOL)
I was at Spa Francorshamps in 2001 for the first and only time that a motocross grand prix was held at that historic venue.
I was at Lierop in 2001 when Chad Reed won his one and only GP.
I was at Namur in 2001 when France won it's first overall at the MXdN
I was at the Glen Helen MXGP in 2016 for Jeffrey Herlings' last race in MX2
Aside from maybe the MXdN at Namur, I'd trade all of the others to have been there for a USGP at Carlsbad.
I regret having never been to Carlsbad (or Saddleback for that matter).
And Vromans went the wrong way off the start.
Didn't that happen in the second moto too ? How the hell does he make that mistake ? In any case I think Lackey had a few points on him going into the round and finished ahead of him in moto 1 . Probably would have won it regardless.
1988 Namur GP I witnessed the "beer stop" of HÃ¥kan Carlqvist.
Watching Eli Tomac win his eighth Daytona Supercross and the last win of his career was something special. With each passing lap, the crowd grew louder and louder, seemingly willing Eli on to the win. It was an incredible moment to witness.
1976 Hangtown -Hannah shocks us all by beating the invincible Marty Smith
1977 St Louie’s Trans Am - Hannah and DeCoster go to war.
1977 or 79 Agency, Mo 125 National. Magi is leading. Takes a line on a jump where he jumps early on a trajectory that would take him over off track and land back on the track where it came left. There is an AMA official standing near the peak of the jump. Magoo hits him. The AMA official tumbles down the side of the jump. Magoo doesn’t crash, but when he lands he tosses his bike aside and runs back up the track…while leading a national
I saw Jeremy McGrath race and win numerous times in SX. He made it look easy.
2007 MXDN at Buds Creek, witnessed Villopoto holeshot on the 250 and lay waste to the best in the world.
Ive been blessed to witness a few.
so far, nothing historic yet for me at
Hangtown's
Thunder Valley's
Went to Carlsbad USGP 83, 84, 85
Was at San Diego SX 83 when Ronnie won on a Yamaha he bought from a dealer (he was going to Honda for 84 and Yamaha would not give him a bike)
Was at Anaheim 84 O Show first SX win, and Saddleback 84 (the last National before it closed). LA when Broc wore pink gear to win $30k in the Miller Masters. Also went to Ponca City and the Lakewood CO national in 84 (we hit Lakewood on the drive home from Ponca).
LA 87 when Rick Johnson went from last to first.
93 Anaheim McGrath's first SX win
James Stewart first pro race Anaheim 02
Glen Helen 04 only time RC wore the #1 plate (last race on Honda), and the only time James Stewart raced a 250 four stroke (he was on a 125 every other race).
A1 2005 the mudder and Stewarts SX class debut. And I recall blowing about $500 bucks at that strip club down the street from the Stadium afterwards (thanks Scott, you dick...)
Forgetting a bunch in between, but that is what popped into my mind.
"Was at San Diego SX 83 when Ronnie won on a Yamaha he bought from a dealer (he was going to Honda for 84 and Yamaha would not give him a bike)"
I was just about to say the same thing. RJ was ripping, too, but I don't think anyone had anything for The Dogger that night.
