With the NBC/Peacock contract up after next year will they renew with them or do a different broadcast partner for 2028?

I have absolutely no idea, but as a consumer I can say that Peacock has been the most convenient way for me to watch MX/SX.... like ever. I've been a fan for over 30 years and the access/cost/value of the Peacock subscription is phenomenal. It's literally the first time I've every paid to watch races and its the only media subscription I have. If they moved to some non-mainstream service like they did for Loretta's then I wouldn't be moving my subscription over. Having access to all of the other programming is really the big selling point.

The 2028 streaming landscape is broader and streaming companies interest in live sports is much larger than 5 years ago.

So, the video rights will be put to bid.

NBC Universal (NBC Sports).  Highly incentivized to defend, as the property contributes to Peacock subscription retainment.

Disney (ESPN)  A logical suitor.  Decades of experience with live sports.

Amazon.  Deep pockets but usually invests in mass appeal sports.

Netflix.  Same situation as  described above for Amazon.

Apple. A maybe, but unlikely given they demand global rights.  This is at odds with super motocross video pass outside of the US.  TBD depending if Feld/MX Sports are selling domestic us only vs global.

Skydance (CBS Sports/TNT Sports)  also a maybe but unlikely.   Major questions around if they will have appetite to invest in new properties given the debt load.  If  more costly NHL and MLB rights are cut, investing in lower cost content could be palatable.

Peacock has data of me only watching one thing on their site, so they know I will unsubscribe if MX/SX goes. The same is true for many I'm sure. Just think if they added MXGP and Arenacross? Not likely MXGP, they have their own super lame and expensive streaming site.

I like to wait until the MXGP-TV goes on sale mid way through the season and pick it up for cheap. I'm gonna watch the MXON anyway so I may as well watch some of the GPs for just a little more. Good battles in mx2 this year.

Personally, I like the Peacock setup when I can renew with a new email for the $20 per year deal (or whatever it is).

It can only be improved for me if Prime picked it up, then I wouldn't have to subscribe for Peacock anymore as SX/MX is the only thing I watch on there and already have Prime for shopping.

Please don't do anything other... I don't want or need a Disney+ or cable / satellite or YouTubeTV subscription.

Yah, if it moves anyplace, I hope its Prime.   And that would be the only Streaming service I needed.  I  watch mostly Youtube, some Prime and SX/MX/SMX on Peacock and sometimes I'll stick around a little on Peacock and watch a show or something .

I wonder if Youtube will ever try and pull in some streaming rights  of stuff like that and offer live to people who pay for Youtube premium  and then archive the races for free viewing  at the end of the season or some meaningful delay to drive subscribers for live viewing. Then they would sell adds on the replays when they ran them  free later on.

I think that staying on Peacock or something like Prime would give the best exposure to new viewers. I  hope that SX and MX keep working together so they stay connected like they have been.  It has to help  SX and MX to have the connection and promoting each other.  I like the direction they have gone so far.
