Herlings looks stronger and taller this year... and he is 16 now, so more experianced lol

I am not sure if Roczen racing supercross well help or hinder him going into this season, Herlings/Searle/Paulin may have an advantage.

Zach Osborne thinks Roczen will suffer for racing to many races -

Dark horses? Charlier/Lieb/Tixier/ Ferrandis

Yeah I noticed how tall he was, for a motocrosser anyhow. How tall is he? More height means more weight most times, a detriment on a 250f. What track was that? Gotta say the euro tracks look so great. Pulling for Roczen to smoke the class this year, go Germany!

Matiss Karro is getting his new contract next week and I doubt we`ll see him on red.

That depends on how much hard pack work Jeffrey has done i the off season. Overall though I agree with what someone else typed and overall I think Searle will be a bigger threat than Herilings. Either way it's going to be fun to watch.

MC Cread, I'll agree that Charlier and possibly Tixier could be dark horse's, but do you really think Ferrandis is ready for a title hunt already? I've been a huge fan since back when he was #22 on the yz85, but not sure he can go from top 5 125cc guy to winning mx2 races just yet. Now Tixier was a dominant 125cc rider, so I'm not going to say he can't win yet. Lieb is a big question mark to me on the Husky. Huge fan, but can a Husky win a MX2 title. I know Chiodi on the 125cc bike back in the day could, but not sure about the Husky 250f just yet.

I'm just happy the GP's are getting close!! Yeah!!

The MX2 class for 2011 should be awesome,

IMO Roczen is the top contender , but J.Herlings is very fast on sand tracks, and thats an advantage for him, but over all and the rest of the tracks, Roczen will be the top guy.

I dont think Roczen racing SX hurts him for 2011, i think it helps him, not only for next year, but valuable race time, before the GP series starts..

As far as the rest of the guys, theres 3-4 guys will be fighting to get on the podium all season, Searle, Osbourne,Paulin, Anstie, and Tonus, and maybe others.

Any one of those guys can have a breakout ride and possibly win a race, and as a fan, 2011 MX GPs and MX Nats. in both classes are going to be awesome.

Ah I didn't mean dark horse for the title I meant just for the odd good ride mixing it up with the regulars and maybe top ten in points...tbh i'm not even sure if Ferrandis is racing the GP series but from what I have seen and heard he will be decent when he does.

oldschoolmxr... those other guys are all racing their national championships and international motocross races before the first round of the series, they won't be race rusty either.

The only thing keeping him from being easy pick for the MX2 title is his starts. If he continues his poor starts like he did here, then he will have a hard time scoring the GP title.

Ferrandis won't race MX2 World Championship in 2011. He will race MX2 european championship.

Harry Kullas had some showing rides last year. Him and Alessandro Lupino also (If that Husky is capable of being a front runner).

Team is silent as a fish. They don`t want anybody to know anything until it`s a done deal. Right now they are having a little difficulties with IRS.

IRS ???
Yes. Since Matiss is gonna have private sponsor he`s doing something similar to what Stewart did with JSE. Matiss is waiting for some kind of taxpayers license from IRS.

Obviously I have to agree with you about Kullas.. Grinning The Gariboldi team is getting more Factory Yamaha support this year, so it should be good (as good as it can be on that rather outdated Yamaha 250F).

Have to disagree with Zack, at Roczen's age, no such thing as too many races....His SX experience will boost his early race intensity and sprint speed. He will come into the GP's in race "shape" meaning he will already be used to race pace right from the get go.

I think Zach means halfway through the season.. don't forget the GPs are a full weekend of riding not just an in and out affair like the nationals... saying that I think Roczen will be ok, and he is the favourite for me...with Herlings, Searle and Paulin the main title challengers... maybe Zach/Roelants, Van Horebeck and Tonus knocking on the door too.

BTW forgot about Kullas, knew I was missing a big name he will be good! stacked field this season.

Surprising about Karro, he has been flying with MVRD Honda so far this year.
