Wow. I'm impressed with the whoop count this year. Denver is showing 11 without counting the starter whoop. I can't remember did they go away from 9 whoops in 2026 or were they mostly 9 in 2026?

I cant wait to see us (Vital members) begging Feld to hire Pastrana to design every track for 2028

FYI, Pastrana designed the Baltimore track and says that the track map doesn’t do it justice at all. He said it’s the longest set of whoops of the year straight into a set of sand whoops, vertical berm faces, and sections of the track that are wider than any other of the year. He had said they were going to be dragon backs on it but I don’t see them on this version of the track map. Let’s hope Feld doesn’t change anything anymore.

He said it’s the longest whoop section including the sand whoops. It looks like just a regular set of whoops leading into the sand whoops. There appear to be a few tracks with longer regular whoop sections.

Interesting to see if they actually stick to the designs, though. They’re constantly neutering them when the race rolls around.

The above  look is hard for me. I like when they release the maps at different view points.

Can we lose one of the 14 football stadiums and get a national back?

My first thought: why the hell did we go to a top-down view? Lame.

There was a couple of rounds with more than 9 in 26, like maybe 3? But for this year it looks like they said "you want whoops? Fine, here's some fuckin whoops" 😂

Baltimore does look awesome.

They should start some fun in San Antonio and make T1 the full 270 decreasing radius. Just to make things interesting.

east rutherford will have an interesting flat corner (right in front of the starting gates.... 6th corner of regular lap?)
the idea of having whoops that are not straight (baltimore, on sand!) is also interesting.

If I could I'd put the exact track he designed, and tried to race in 09, to now.  Hubert helped build it too. It was actually tamed down by the night show.  An all time personal fave.

Looks like Tampa and Pittsburgh do. Hard to tell from the overhead view

Why not more soccer stadiums?  I don’t know anything about soccer - do seasons overlap?

Major League Soccer stadiums are much smaller capacity. All 11 US World Cup matches were in NFL stadiums.

I think the only reason they did MLS stadiums for SMX is to push to soccer stadiums overseas, like Cardiff, UK.
