I'm looking for international (non US) retirement destinations, with dope weather (no snow, not too rainy), international airport and MX tracks within an hour.  Any suggestions?

Between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, Australia, 25+ tracks within 1 hour drive...

But it does rain!

I love that place! My daughter spent a year there on a study abroad. I had been to Sydney and Melbourne many times also. Love the Aussi land!

Facts, but with $8-10K for health insurance $6 gas and >$3K rent make the international destinations a bit more appealing.

No San Diego is a terrible place. Avoid at all costs. Falcon is paid by CA to hype it. He gets a full prepped factory bike with fresh tires every time he rides to promote Southern CA. It's that bad here.

Only track less than an hour from SD is Barona, and if you're anything further west than El Cajon...... NOT.

Between the hours of 06:30--09:00 and 16:00--18:30, nowhere in SD is. To include Sat mornings and Sun evenings.

I'd be delighted to be proven wrong.

Oh.... Barona gets to 110F in summer, forgot to mention 🤣

upper north island NZ has about the same amount of tracks as Queensland,

If you live on the north side of SD e.g. Mira Mesa you can get to Pala in about 50 minutes (Add 4 hours for the national). Barona is about 40 but nothing to beat the summer heat. I guess go surfing those days, and watch out for sting rays. Compared to southern states (TX, GA,NC, FL etc.), you get waaaaaaaaaaay more riding days in SoCal.  SoCal is king for fair weather riders like myself.  Not too hot, not too cold, lots of sun.  Cost of living is what kills it in retirement.

True..... but ONE accident on I-8 or 15 will mess up your day  🤣

That's why San Diego was such a paradise 30 years ago.... you could literally go skiing, surfing, hiking and riding in one day.  Hit La Jolla Shores before sunrise, shoot up to Big Bear by 9 am, ski till noon, drive down the mountain and do 50 laps at Glen Helen, shoot down to Julian for a hike and dinner, drive Sunrise Higwhay back to I-8 to SD..... call it a day.

Now, with traffic, surfing at LJ takes till 11 am, any one of the others is now a day trip. Provided there's no crashes of course......

Throw in a pass through the slalom course on Mission Bay. The pro tour would actually stop there back in the 80’s.
