lol all the hate of EFI two strokes make me laugh when reading all this. My 2025 tc 300 ran so crisp all the time. This yz def barks but I’m $1k into this motor just to feel as good as a stock ktm 300 efi bike.

It's fun to tinker and experiment when all you need to do is spend a few bucks on jets instead of driving to the dealer to gets your ECU flashed and codes cleared or buying some aftermarket tuner box for hundreds or more.   ☺️

I get that. I just picked up a 2001 cr250 motor in a 2019 frame with a 2000 keihin carb. Got the jd jet kit and I’ve got that thing running so good now! Crazy how much jetting can affect power. But that 2025 tc300 was great, ran so good everywhere every time!

My 2025 yz250 blew with the full pc moto at 18 hours, sent it to Haesker and he’s built it out for me and it should be here this week. Time for a cr250 vs yz250 shootout! IMG 7075 2IMG 6988 2IMG 6284 2IMG 1825 2.jpeg?VersionId=9VKY4sESPJq0OpieoI7Dq

2026 YZ250 “X” Model - PC Champ Pipe Review:

I have about 15 hours on the Champ pipe and it has been an amazing change. For me, it’s all positive with no downsides.

The thing that stands out the most is the increased over rev. The bike no longer signs off at upper RPM’s, it just keeps pulling and allows you to carry gears much longer.

One positive I haven’t heard others talk about is how smooth the throttle response is during on/off throttle situations. The Champ pipe makes this situation very smooth and almost electric feeling. With the stock pipe or the FMF fatty, the engine can be a little too responsive in my opinion.

And of course the look and sound of the PC pipe with shorty silencer is amazing. I have ran the rack pipe in the past and I feel this Champ pipe gives a more deep tone vs the raspy sound of the rack pipe. Maybe that’s not accurate but it is what I think I hear.

I have owned 5 YZ250’s throughout my riding career and have tried a lot of things to get the power how I want it to feel. Most of the time with limited success. This new Champ stamp YZ250 pipe is exactly what I have been looking for.

For reference I’m a plus 40 vet rider that practices moto and races GNCC type events.

Agree. At the moment I have an all stock YZ 250 with the champ (previously I had the rack Works Pipe). In the past I had another YZ with a full FMF Fatty/Shorty, Vforce reeds, Apex MX head.

All I can say is the champ pipe is THE BEST power mod I did ever. Agree with the performance and the sound, I simply love it.

I have a stock 19 and starting to look at playing around with mods but don't want to get too crazy. Would you say for the money id be better off with the champ pipe over the combination of like a PC Shorty + vforce reeds or apex head for similar money? How do you feel about flywheel weight for MX?

Ping recently put out a YZ250 peak build where they use the same pipe. Pretty much spot on with what the testers noted. Cool Mitch actually released the pipe. Seems like most of the PC pipes pros ran were not off the rack available to public. I remember Ricky having a special pipe on his RM as well.

Makes ya wonder why they sold The rack pipe for 25 years a bit doesn’t it when this existed and sounds significantly better in every way….

I would go with the Champ pipe and R304 Shorty. I honestly wouldn't do anything else, this pipe gives it just that perfect powerband, and it sounds sooooooooo good.

Their rankings on power delivery for each pipe are exactly how I'd describe them all. Dead on.

I'm glad they mentioned overrev. The Bills is definitely more "free" up top and feels like it never signs off. I've played with the main jet a bit on the PC Champ and just can't get that same feeling.

Still, the Bills and PC are super close in performance and I'd run either one any day. Can't beat the R304 sound though... The core is interesting on that thing because it gets wider in the middle but is normal/skinnier width on each end. Reminds of the old FMF SST days, but applied to the silencer core.

Is the Bill's cone pipe the same spec as their stamped works pipe?

It's the same pipe with wire fed mig rings welded around it

For what it's worth, and I know that no one actually cares, I've run all these pipes back to back to back and the DEP with the 304 shorty was the best.

Best at what? Best low end, best midrange?

Very subjective, and everybody is looking for something different.

I like the FMF, but it almost has too much bottom. I want to try a bills or PC to see how they work.

When he was talking about two different bills silencers was that the stinger tip vs the euro cap? I remember getting a stinger tip for my RM250 and it had a smaller inside diameter than the R304.

Bills has an Aluminum and a Carbon silencer.
No idea if they have different dimensions
