Do Dylan and Eli deserve a better send off?

Eli deserved to go out with a 3rd SX title a few years ago but we all know that achilles tear robbed him from a title that he had earned. Shit happens, life’s not always fair but that injury extended his career chasing another title and allowed him to rack up more wins trying. I expect Tomac to do some MTB racing though. Ferrandis I’m not sure where his head is at and if he’s just content with his career like Eli is and doesn’t want to risk it just to race for 5th place.

I have a feeling the crowd is going to go nuts at this last race this weekend. Please someone record his opening ceremony like this!

What? didn't many of our previous champions retire young way before SMX.....RC,RV, Dungey, Stew etc.....all retired early compared to today...

Both guys are going out by their own choice and not forced into retirement by injury 🤞 it's not like other 4 major pro US sports with long seasons where guys announce and then do a final season farewell tour of all the venues they played in. Yeah, you're overthinking it IMO

Eli being grand Marshall at Daytona next year feels like a lock. 

I grew up racing moto and stopped after college. Tomac has been my favorite racer to watch for over a decade and I have followed the sport closely every season. I can't really afford to go but I'm flying and driving to the race from Denver because it means that much to see his final race to me (and many others). There are few racers that are given the amount of respect Tomac is because he earned it. As classy as they come and was a pure pleasure to watch his racecraft and raw speed. What a great role model for young moto racers. I will be trying to hold back some water works I'm sure.
