Apparently Motocross and supercross are not alone in buffoonery:
From the Race report for the John Penton GNCC this past weekend:
"The Mason-Dixon GNCC is up next, set for October 2-4 here in southwestern Pennsylvania. Note, the Mason-Dixon GNCC will be non-points-paying for the Bike XC1, XC2 and WXC classes as a result of the schedule conflict with the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE)."
And from the GNCC press release:
GNCC Racing will continue its fall stretch October 2-4 with the Parts Unlimited Mason-Dixon GNCC in Mount Morris, Pennsylvania. Racers and fans will descend on the legendary racing grounds for a full weekend of GNCC action, as championship battles continue to intensify with the 2026 season entering its final rounds. From Micro and Youth competition to the premier ATV and Bike races, the Mason-Dixon GNCC promises three days of exciting racing and plenty of action both on and off the course.
How does anybody accidentally schedule a GNCC round against the ISDE?
at least they had the good sense to make it a non-points paying round; there are only so many weekends, and de-conflicting with other series, the ISDE, etc., etc. is probably not as trivial as it might seem, given that schedule releases aren't necessarily coordinated, and who gets first dibs? And this is from someone who isn't exactly a fan of some of Racer Productions' business practices.....
They actually did it last year to.
The GNCC is October 4.
The ISDE begins October 12.
I don't call that a schedule conflict.

NGPC also has a race that weekend & they are doing the same. Non-Points paying event for the 3 Pro classes.
for ISDE they go over early & spend like a week cycling & walking the courses to get familiar with them. The first time they ride them is under time so need to have it memorized if you want to do well.
Bike / parts deliveries, logistics.
I'm aware.
Is it ideal? No, but it's not as if they're shipping their GNCC bikes over.
There are some pretty high-profile riders that share my opinion that this GNCC points situation is ridiculous, so I'll side with them.
If ya'll don't agree, that's fine too.
I'm not sure if i agree or not but i did do some digging & was told this was an AMA decision pushed down to GNCC & NGPC & neither series made the call & nothing they can do.
Do those high profile GNCC riders happen to be racing ISDE?
The NHHA series has had to reschedule multiple rounds over the last 15 years due to the ISDE conflicts. It happens pretty often because the ISDE doesnt schedule their event in advance like the NHHA, NGPC, and GNCC as to due to permitting and insurance.
So off road races here have to lock in their dates anywhere from 12-18 months in advance to secure permits, insurance, AMA sanctioning, etc etc and ISDE will come in and say ok here's our date 6 months before the actual event.
It creates a massive scramble for off road race series, the promoters, clubs, racers themselves, their teams, travel plans. Its a freaking SH1T show! Each year though the AMA tells the clubs and race organizers to either reschedule around ISDE so as to not conflict with ISDE, or in the this years case with GNCC its a non points paying round. I guarantee with GNCC having as much horsepower as they do, they told AMA nope not rescheduling a race that takes a year of planning so as to not affect 3 riders, at the cost of over 1,000 other entries.
Which is in my opinion, the absolute correct answer. AMA needs to pound sound.
The riders weren't happy about mostly due to the fact that the guys that aren't leading the points have one less race to make up points, the riders are contracted for the whole GNCC series so I'm not sure if the teams would rather have them fulfill their obligations or not risk getting hurt at a pointless race.
That being said the non points classes (XC1, XC2 and WXC) is only about 30 riders and GNCC has around 1500 entries every race so its not like they wont be a ton of people racing especially if some of the A racers can get some really good overall results with less pros racing.
