I'm a huge fan of SX whoops, but it makes sense that getting rid of them will lead to closer racing. The riders have to set up a lot for whoops, so they can't be very aggressive leading up to the whoops. I think this track really showed that all jumps/smaller jumps leads to better racing because the riders can take different lines without fear of completely messing up a section.
All we needed is post race team drama to make it a great night of racing? Tracks are a joke for what SMX was supposed to be and no teammate on teammate bump and run will change that. It’s still just SX without whoops.
I was really surprised at how well the split sand section worked out and it became the most consequential section of the night. Anytime there's sand it needs to be more than one turn.
That was not great racing IMO. 450 moto 2 had some good racing and a bunch of drama, but outside of that the track sucked, it was follow the leader.

Yep. The typical we had great racing for a one lined amateur track. Why do people continue to think this is good compared to even 5 years ago? Lmao we got good racing one a singular moto and it’s “everything is great!” Not a freaking chance. That was a sham and joke of an event.

I see you’re emotionally invested in this. Maybe take a break from the internet and go for a walk, touch some grass and listen to nature. I’m pretty sure everyone knows how you feel already.
Don’t convolute emotion with the obvious. I purposefully point it out multiple times. That’s just how I do things, everyone should be outside sun is nice out here on the trails.
You still have been able to comprehend that easier tracks leads to better racing. No one wants a SX tracks with shitty whoops, and combos no one does the full event to end up spacing out riders because they are racing the track instead of each other.
It's like Zach Osborne has always said, simple track better racing.
The racing was boring as hell.
The drama and mistakes from 450 Moto 2 is what saved the night. No credit to the powers that be, it was all circumstantial.
The riders themselves are saying the same thing. The tracks suck balls, coming right out of multiples riders mouths. Easier tracks are boring as crap. If you want slot car racing go watch that. Supercross racers separate themselves for the very reason you poopoo’d it.
The riders? Ask 1 million viewers if hey want to see rutcross and 10-15sec gaps and a technical difficult track, or closer racing with block passes and being able to cut under and change lines multiple times in 2-3 corners.
Go watch extreme enduro if you want to see riders racing by themselves.
Who said anything about rut cross? You want to see close racing you can see it anywhere. I prefer the talented to actually be challenged and they themselves happy with the tracks. Go watch barrel racing
