Imma watching the Jeremy McGrath invitational on youtube right now....  held at the same venue as the carsen smx round today... 

And..

OMG the MC track is soooooo much better than the track today!!! Lap times right at 1 minute... giantttt double with a metal ramp take off... giant quad over dual tabletops.... double header event.... some 1 on 1 racing... and 250s and 450s were combined... 

Geezussss we've gone backwards 

Ps- jt$$$ was in the hunt at that race... mc broke his neck there... and tp199 did a backflip over the giant double during a 1 on 1 race....

With the cost of diesel fuel, I believe the tracks are smaller just to save money

I think it's just a defensive move so that Feld can protect their flank. As soon as we see WSX meet its demise, Feld will end this SMX experiment and proclaim that the money in the next television contract just wasn't there to renew our "playoffs." 

The current TV deal that was a big part of this SMX Playoff system and the capital injection will end after 2027.

I would imagine that negotiations regarding an extension and/or changes to the deal would be ongoing now or not too far into the future. My guess is that 2027 is the last year of SMX in this format, there will be changes.

Hope it just goes away.

I don’t need the meaningless hype from Weege the whole year, I don’t need the crappy tracks or the fact that it interferes with the MXdN each year making it harder for the US riders to attend the best race of the year.


I also miss RBSR that actually was a fun offseason race and not just this crap to block the riders from going to WSX.

I think having a rule of a minimum lap time (say 1.30) or minimum track length would be a good idea.
