I cant even explain it to my self. Its like that feeling you get before you drop in on one of those watersides that goes straight down,then a split second later it goes away and you're brain is processing more information then you thought was possible.
I'll 100% honest. First time I ever lined up for a race, it was a local one, that attracted way more of a crowd than was expected. Once I lined up for the practice lap and saw 400 people staring back at me, I was done. That was way too much stage fright for this old hillbilly.

Those two strokes on the start line...holy nostalgia! Man I miss the 90's moto scene (I realize that clip wasn't from the 90's). Local races with full gates in all the classes, two strokes, no responsibilities...the good days.
No words can explain to someone who has never raced moto (and I'll include the 1 minute silence on the line of a dead engine start hare and hound before the bomb) what that feels like. Its impossible...
That video of the start of that two-stroke race got my adrenaline going...
...that feeling can not be replicated very easily... ...and freshly grading start chute, YEAH!

With starts, I would always be super nervous and stressed as I drove into the track. It would start as I was on the road pulling in and I would finally calm down after I got on the gate.
It really is such an amazing feeling going through the first turn and getting a holeshot. Or going down in the first turn. I have not found anything that is really similar.
Just thinking about it gets me wanting to get out there again!
