I'm thinking worst case scenario it's an option for Monster to step up to keep it afloat so Team Tedder can win the title.

Monster is already a series sponsor and they've done similar with the Xgames.

It's a very small and discreet sponsor.

Team Tedder doesn't race WSX

Oh shit you're right! Rick Ware Racing for Webb and Hill.

Do you think they have individual deals with Monster?

Monster is a smaller sponsor in wsx not a primary... and I don't see them catching all the teams up on their missing back pay... particularly those that aren't monster teams...

It sounds like if several of the teams didn't get their pay caught back up yesterday,  they were dropping out of the series... some teams just don't have the cash to keep going forward in the series without it....

Who's got a good contact w somebody on a wsx team??

Doesn't look like any Red Bull athletes attended round 1?  Maybe they make them all run the big M on their bikes for the series?  Monster must have atleast some interest considering they are already title sponsor of the AMA SX series but still wanted a piece of the action.

Sounds to me like the deal is probably dead in the water....current owners don't have the money to pay the teams and the potential buyers are not going to pay anyone before a deal closes.....I believe it's called an impasse....Looking more and more like WSX is cooked...

The FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) and its promotional group, SX Global, have faced major financial and operational instability driven by shifting capital backing, delayed disbursements, and repeated ownership reorganizations.

SX Global initially launched with heavy financial backing intended to inject 10s of millions into appearance fees, freight support, and rich purses. When key capital partners and investors didn't follow through, the cash flow dried up.

Teams competing in the global series have repeatedly faced delayed operational and participation stipends, leading to tense standoffs where teams threatened to pull out of upcoming rounds if funds aren't wired.

The Logistical Burden:

Unlike the US racing series where infrastructure is localized, overseas and multi-continent WSX rounds require massive shipping and travel overhead that were to paid or reimbursed by the series. With payments lagging, teams could be carrying  an unsustainable debt load.

In other words, there as some truly shitty math happening and it hasn't worked from the start.  It was a dumpster fire anyway so no loss.
