Skidsteer....any thoughts? Or do you know exactly what happened and are sworn not to tell? Since we all don't know what the hell is going on.
The point was that I think it's disrespectful to the fans to blatantly lie about such a big event. I know they regularly lie about things that, if widely known would give the competition and advantage, such as my bike is working great, I'm feeling healthy, I feel like I can win tonight, etc.
But this has no implication on the competition.
I don't know, is it too much to ask for a simple "no comment" instead of bs?

That hadn't been established yet media-wise and dispels the 'family time' reasoning given previously.

"I'm not hiding anything"
From Observations:
"After a few texts and calls, Brooks did finally get back to me"
After a few texts and calls, Brooks did finally get back to me but requested that what was shared between us remain private
So which is it? The I know but I'm not telling you people?
Or
"I'm not hiding anything?"
That being said, Larry may not be in a position to make public what (if anything I might add) has taken place.
Quite iften all you will hear is "John Doe has left the organization to pursue other interests."
If before the season they would have offered a brief explanation of the ownership change, new sponsors, and new structure of the team, and then with this latest event offered a brief explanation along the lines of "Brooks is taking a step back from his full time managerial duties, replacement to be named shortly", this would be a non-story. Instead, we get evasive, coy, and frankly bullshit explanations that make people want to dig deeper and find out what's really happening. With their silence they have created interest where there might not be anything interesting.
Stay tuned!
It seems like if you own the team , and thought you may be pushed out ( why not have it in a contract saying James can't do that?).
See what I'm saying? Why sell the team in the first place if you want to stick around?
Doesn't make much sense.
Only thing I can think of.....is Larry got burned some way or another , and was forced out when he wasn't expecting it.
And just to keep things in perspective, the "masses" are a pretty small group in this little moto community of ours.
Pit Row
I'm not being a hater , if that's what you are implying....maybe I read that wrong?
What I was just trying to say is James "Bought something ( a team from the sounds of it ) , and I just wanted to know why Larry sold it in the first place.
"Maybe" James bought the team from Larry , because Larry wanted to step away possibly?
"Maybe" Larry sold the team to James , and had figured on James keeping him around.....but then shoved him out the doors?
At this point....who knows?
On the flip side....if James does own 100% of the team.....he can do anything he wants with it.
I guess the only thing we really don't know here is.....did Larry leave on his own.....or did James force him out expectantly?
BTW.....that pic looks painful! HAHA!!
(franks and beans . . . . franks and beans)
Malcom is just coming into his own right? I'm just wondering if maybe James is in the early beginnings of starting the team to support his little brother for the next 8-10 years?
"Stewart racing" or something like that?
It is odd.....that all this is starting now.....when Malcom turns pro.....and has really shown some speed and skill on that bike as well.
Hmmm??
Ok? So it was more: "who cares", rather than any future text back and forth with Larry might be in jeopardy?
I know you do more than others, as in giving us info and I honestly dig your work, but do you expect us to believe you are not constantly balancing your friendship with the players vs the "journo" integrity thing?
