I'm just giving the kid a hard time honestly just like I would to a friend or something. This kid is obviously young and kind of dumb in a sense (No offense Mays), but atleast he is about something.
Who the hell is behind brotocross anyways? A couple of 30 year old dudes that constantly talk shit about people because they were picked on in highschool? All they seem to be about is bashing dudes in the limelight. Get a life you wack assholes.
Devin, I'm walking away from this thread thinking you are the asshole. Which is astounding considering the original subject matter.
Brandon Mays is as fast as anyone out there, but he could actually make a decent living racing motocross if he kept his head on straight. He probably trains his ass off just like everyone else and "sure" thats a mainstream way to get motocross out there as well as your name, but really though, do you think Team Honda is going to sign him if he's rapping white boy talking about lil wayne and how he's gettin busted for having marijuana in his back pocket when he's rollin through the hood? As long as he's rapping I doubt he'll be putting in results to get any factory teams attention. I wanna clean him out (not dirty or anything to hurt the kid, but take his front wheel out in a berm, show me he isn't invincible) and maybe knock him back into reality and be like "Hey dawg, you aren't bmayzee, your a fucking racer, stop playing gangsta gangsta" haha..
I talked to him on facebook actually, and all he said is it's fun to rap and he loves watching *cough* people like me *cough* get butthurt and he thinks its funny as hell. Ok honestly he seems like a pretty cool kid other than the fact of him acting so hard all the time. I'll probably never talk to him, but he has my respect as a rider. He throws down. The off the track side of him makes me wanna backhand him and ask him where everything went wrong in his head! haha.. if he was atleast good at rapping I would probably think he's sick.
Since you read VITALmx I figured Id give you some Simon Cowell(esk) love. Simon and I are a lot alike, we tell it how it is...If you want to pursue a career in rapping, hey thats fine, but you might as well drop motocross. Cant do both. Here's some brutally honest constructive criticism:
1) Take singing/performing lessons..if your parents have the money to get you a deal with Konvict then they can certainly get you some decent lessons on being a performer. In your videos your mouth is usually not in tune with the words. Well that and your mouth/face just looks awkward. Work on facial expressions when singing/rapping. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have a better voice while for rap you dont need the best voice a decent voice would help you out.
2) Work on your lyrics...do you know how to rhyme? James Stewart and Jay Z dont rhyme, and they certainly dont belong in the same sentence. Even if you arent rhyming you need to get better lyrics. Your's straight up suck...Somehow you got ahold of some decent beats but your beats arent gonna sound good with those lyrics.
3) You are not hard...not at all. You're not a gangster, why did you tattoo your leg? Look kid if there was a fight between your Konvict buddies and another group you would be running the other way, you've been pampered your whole life whether it was riding a dirt bike or signing a deal with Konvict. You wouldnt last two seconds on the streets where some of those guys come from.
