Good interview. Chris seems like a very cool guy.

Yeah, I watched the race. It was a very aggressive pass, and he just wanted to win. I think Chad would have won if he didn't get hung up with me on the outside of that corner. The pass was a desperate last effort, and I think Stewart may have done the same thing if the roles were reversed. They both want to win really badly.

great interview Dan

To me this illustrates that a rider should just hold his line and let the fast guy go around or under whatever the case may be. And I know how tight these tracks are but I think guys like Chad and James can invent on the fly when they need to (and don't start anything about the "block pass"...lol).

Good interview!
It's amazing how the actual guys on the track have a different opinion on the race then all us "couch" racers!Blush

You bitched at someone else about this topic being beat to death and now you bring it up in this thread. I doubt James would have made that same move especially when he was already in front of the points leader, and if he did hopefully he would execute it better without taking them both down and risking another injured season for either of them.

How can you not? Kid has done it all on his own. I had no idea before talking to him that he didn't do the whole amateur national scene. I guess if done right 4 stroke nationals and arenacross can serve as a stepping stone.

Chris and Michael Blose were on Mini Warriors, aren't there 2 other brothers too? Or no?

Dan I really like your interviews because since your just a motohead, you go out and interview people who really deserve interviews. Keep it up! Awesome stuff.

There's the Blair brother's who were about the same time frame I think. Daniel and Vincent right? I actually raced one of the Blair brothers at Washougal in the B class in like 97 and thought it was Blose. Blose told me it wasn't them so I think it was the Blair's . I always confused the two. Huh

No, James would have just jumped on his back. Much more fun than boring old block passes.

Great interview Dan, you are getting pretty good!

Chris has moto in his blood, from his bother Michael (former podium Lites finisher), his Dad Bobby (ex pro), and Uncle Chappy (former Factory KX rider).

Gma B should be proud!

Thank you for all the compliments guys. I think the interviews are different because I'm a huge fan of everyone I interview, and that makes me ask the questions a lot of you want to hear. I don't care as much about how they're doing today as much as I want to know about how they got there.

Keep coming to motoXaddicts.com, and I'll keep calling riders. Nick Paluzzi will be up in next few days, and when I find the time to transcribe the 30 min talk PJ Larsen and I had yesterday you guys will really like it. PJ is a great kid with a ton of insight into the world of MX here and abroad in Australia. We had a great conversation, and it was surprising how much he loves the sport and the people around him right now.

I raced Michael a couple times. First time he and Shimp lapped me. Second time I was with Mike for the win and Shane bess landed on me on the last lap. I talked to Michael after and have nothing but good to say for the Bloses. Good family, GmaB you should be proud.

You don't look like much of a racer in your avatar pic.. lol If I saw the guy in your avatar run up front in the A or B he would for sure be my next interview.

That is tooooo funny. I might add...I loved your interview too. Just wish Chris' Grandpa could have seen it. He would be the proudest of all. Well, then again, maybe he is still the driving force and knows everything.

It sucks that Jonathan Shimp broke both his femurs, and that ended his career.
