I don't think it would be that expensive for Feld to rent out a warehouse somewhere near Atlanta and bring in a 24-hour security team.

Sure it will cost a little bit, but for all the fees that go into SX, you would think that the protection of your belongings is relatively important.

(Maybe I'm just an idiot)
That right there makes some sense my friend.........You should head up security for these amateurs...........Its not that hard....

Objectives.....

1. Safe environment
2. Security for racers
3. Theft prevention

Maybe someone should have a chat with security...............

The Ga Dome is right next to a shady part of town. The past two years I've parked at a church a block away from the Dome. Sure, they charge me $30, but reading these post make it seem like money well spent to park in a private lot with a police officer working security.

The stolen goods clearly apply to some one else, not me.
The writer of the original post should get it right so the guy that goes
with the number gets the calls he's hoping for.
The internet, helpful as it can be is only as good if the info is correct.
I hope whoever he is he gets his stuff back from the "A-Holes" that took it all.

If this is the best attended race or one of the biggest races for feld...but yet we have all this theft and loss of bikes, equipment and personal belongings? Why would anyone want to waste time or money on added security or renting a building?? I say get out of the ATL...this theft is ridiculous bull$hit if you ask me. Go to a nicer venue even if it is at a loss compared to ATL

If I was in the position that some these riders are I would wire the fuel pump in my van to a toggle switch and then invest in a hardened chain that I would wrap around the bikes so that they would have to removed from the van as a unit if someone tried to take them. Nothing is bullet proof, but the more difficult you make it, the better chance the bad guys go to an easier job.

We had a lot with a fence, carded gate and "security guard". Im finding that conviently in 3 incidents the security was away between the hours of 6am and 7am or 8am. Most of these thefts occured in the daylight and during those times.
Even if we dont get the bikes back I will keep working on this to get the higher ups to recognize it is a problem and try to work out something for the riders safety. We are in a different enviroment as Wadded Up said...its cuthroat.
BTW...just so you know alarms would have not helped. In the Motel 6 video the thieves were in and out in approx 6 mins, and these guys have been doing for awhile. The GPS systems are getting torn off within 15 mins. They take the bikes at the opportune time.
I believe the only solution is 2 things:
Provide an area with security guards provided by and "bonded" by the promoter (so that way they cannot look the other way) and the rest of us will just have to leave our things elsewhere (and have insurance on every bike!)

Columbus? I think you exagerating quite a bit there dude. Now if you said cincinatti or cleveland i would understand. As fucked up as Detroit is nothing got stolen from there to the extent that has happened at Atlanta and some other SX venues in "better" parts of the country.

Sometimes this doesn't work either. Remember what happened at Unadilla a few years ago ? Some bikes got taken from inside the pits that were supposed to be "secure". Turned out to be an inside job, I think.

Haha. Is it really inconceivable to you that someone else in America has the same name as you?

This is the correct name and phone number to call if you have any information that could help him recover his belongings.

I'm sure those guys have a valid motorcycle license, vehicle registration, top of the line insurance as well as a Joey Chitwood drivers safety card. I'm also fairly certain every bike was legally purchased at a local motocycle shop and the title is most likely in their pockets awaiting display for the local police should they have the unlikely chance they may be stopped or detained by the "racist cops" (not the illegal unsafe vehicle operation). These guys are a great reflection of the MX community and great role models for all the youths in the neighborhoods. I'm also sure the taxes are fully paid up the vehicles. "Dirt bikes" on pavement? Huh?
Hilarious!!!

ahhh watch the Detroit news....I honestly don't even care to watch it anymore because its nothing but so and so was raped, so and so was shot, so and so was raped and shot........ very few positive things seem to hit the news around here sadly.

That is funny.... I had a friend that used dogs like that to guard his bike. Made a 5 minute stop in Huntington Beach (not a bad neighborhood) and thieves stole his practice bike, truck and the dog. He got the truck back, but the dog and bike were gone forever. He still wonders how they got into the front of the truck with a vicious Rott in there.

Well, that sucks. Yeah, I agree......I wouldn't put my dog in a situation where he might get hurt or killed.

So that is why they call it "Hotlanta" . Everything is stolen. I often wondered about that. Now I know.

That sucks big time!

I'm afraid at that point, I'd have had to take it into my own hands. Probably got shot or thumped in the head, but at that point rational thinking would be out the door and somebody would be getting a beat down.

Hope you find the sumbitches, soon!!
