Yeah, that was a pretty crazy race. When the first moto first lap Deagen goes down along with Hunter, I thought it was over for him.

The conspiracy theorists are out in droves, but there's also word of Jett limping bad in the pits.

I'm just happy Hunter finally got one. It would have been hard to forget for the rest of his life if he never won a 450 Championship against the BIG shadow of little bro.

I say post it Joey. We can take it. At least I think we can. it'll be a good test. There is a fair amount of room for some speculations about yesterday. We can keep it civil.

It's not all that outlandish.

But I'm not going to delve into the, "fucking 38" quagmire here.

But I will say that it's a most deserving championship title for the most solid rider we've seen all year long.

And even dating bacl to A1, and last year's MXON, and the three SMX rounds.

Hunter earned it over the course of the season. Although I've been a very vocal fan of Jett for many years, I'd have really been bummed for Hunter had he not got his Cship this go around. But I can still say if Jett comes ito the season healthy not changing his riding style to save his foot, it's a much different season. But, for Hunter, he rode a hell of a full season. And 38 gave us a hell of a show this year too. His growth will be massive as he gets 450 experience. What will drive his growth is racing faster people. I'm not sure he's ever had that. Can you imagine, must but first time in his life with a zero win season. I did not look that up, just a guess.

Yup, a healthy Jett and probably different outcome. Even with Sexton and Tomac out, they were threats only if they got way out front early. Hunter almost never let anyone get way out in front early. With the exception of Jett. Even Prado could not hold a lead on Hunter if he was close. Obviously ruling out Ironman as an outlier.

Yup, you're not the champion of "what ifs" you're the champion of who lined up. And if you don't line up healty, that's on you.

Quick question, well more of an ask, who do you all think should go?

List them.

super_fan_38 is at the top of the list.

The guy's a legend.

I was also lucky enough to see his dad race at a few norba nationals.

And in 1990 at the first UCI/Norba world's in Durango.  On his drop bar, carbon Yeti.

Same race Julie Furtado had a breakout ride on her Yeti.

The wolf man, formerly herlich for starters.

You know their usernames more than I

Problem is, they just reinvent themselves.

Wolf man has to be one of the worst posters to ever be on Vital. It's weird how some people just love to be hated and go against the grain, something I will never understand.🙄

Even though I do not buy into the conspiracy theory with what went down last weekend, I do find this kinda funny.....😂1000017989.jpg?VersionId=oWOBJCpx0u.

Presently I'm going to choose to believe Jett has an injury and Hunter won it legit. And move on. Realistically, Hunter got a great start, had 38 not gone down taking out Hunter, he breezes to victory. His ride after the crash with likely bent parts was impressive. Props to Prado too.

Long time fan of many forms of motorsports, dating back to the stone age.

Saw countless races where Denny Hulme sat behind Bruce McClaren, then later Peter Revson.

Same in nascar with Pete Hamilton shadowing Richard Petty.

Loyd Ruby to AJ Foyt.

Brett Lunger to David Hobbs.

Swede Savage to Dan Gurney.

George Follmer to Mark Donohue

And an infinite amount of F1 drivers, loyally sitting behind their teammates.

This scenario is indeed different.

But even if the in foil crowd is right,

So what ??

I've had an ankle/foot injury back in my DH days. And as does everyone else, came back too soon, rode just hard enough not to get hurt. Which inevitably happens.

Hunter earned it.

Agree that Hunter earned it. We're all well aware Jet wasn't 100% after coming back from injury at the start of outdoors, but in the past two years Hunter has GREATLY improved his race craft as compared the the rest of the field (who knows what Chase may or may not have had for him if he was in there), and one could argue we have Jett's incredible talent to thank for Hunter's improvement. Want to learn to ride faster? Ride with the fast guy(s) and keep pushing and improving.

So Jett ends up re-tweaking his ankle, and the sky is falling because the race is fixed? People are really interesting sometimes! 🤦‍♂️

I'll add this thought as well; I wish no ill will on Jett, but the thought keeps coming back to me that in time Hunter may surpass Jett in overall SX/MX wins. Hunter's career reminds me of Stanton, and Dungey while Jett's reminds of Stew; ridiculously fast, but he's had some tough injuries when Hunter seems to have the big crashes behind him. Hopefully they both do!

This thread being where it is was a great idea

I was just over in "moto" in Hammer's thread. Many pages about how bad it is there on Vital. Guess what I didn't see. Not a single person ponied up they might back off on being antagonistic. It's everyone else's fault, or you need to suck it up buttercup. I have no idea how ML is going to clean things up over there but that side is a shit show. And @Boomslang don't be telling them you hang out here where people get along, let's stay under their radar so they don't climb out of their little box and jump over here.

So Jett is out for SMX. For all the people that believe he gave Hunter the "W". Please explain why he's giving up massive payout and his SMX title if not for an actual injury.

I tossed a leftover pork chop over there yesterday evening. Buncha mangey dogs immediately came out fighting over it.

Most over there are the reason why there's so many warning labels on every damn thing...

Jett and Hunta fought tooth and nail throughout the whole amazing national series.

Was Jett 100% ? No way. Will he ever get back to 100% ?  Its not looking good. Deegan is close but he isn’t in as good of shape as the Lawrence brothers going 100% for 30 + 2

MXGP and MX2...
...just watched the CBS-Sports coverage of the Türkiye round (I guess it is pronounced now as tur-key-uh)...
...hope those Coenen twins are healthy for the MXdN, Sasha just goes for it (watch the Moto1 recap)...
...I would like to see those twins do well at the MXdN and in the US next year.
