Lappers are a fact of life in mx/sx, without them we'd be having 3 or 5 people on the gate and no TV coverage, and few would be interested. That was also a tough track for lappers to get out of the way, right through a rhythm section. I liked Barcia before I saw him acting like a punk. He's always been a good interview and a likeable guy, I hope he learned that acting like that is going to hurt him

I understand being pissed at the lapper, but he had no chance at the win anyway. And to act like he was going to punch his helmet over it was childish. Barcia has fans because he is willing to take his lumps and give them, not for acting like a butt-hurt little child.

All of you folks that are posting about Justin "fake punching" at Lipanovich need to remember something.

Some of us from the northeast have a tendency to speak with our hands, that was a gesture if you ask me.
I know when I am agitated and have a talk with someone my hands aren't usually hanging by my side.

It's a cultural thing, you guys may not get it.

Like I say in every thread about this peckerhead. He is a punk that has no problem taking people out for no reason at all. I watched him clean out riders in practice at ATL. for no reason at all.
He was just mad because Dean cought him and passed him (clean) and then pulled away and there was nothing he could do about it.
both PC riders will put it to him this year.

BAHAA, it's called emotion...he wasn't "fake punching" him...wow some people are thick in the head.

Also, all you tough guys wanting to square up with Barcia over this:
1) go get your metal mulisha t shirts and report back to the school yard at 3 pm
2) It would be hilarious if Barcia threw you a beating.

Still waiting for a first-hand account or video to confirm this... sounds like everyone is jumping on the hate train without even knowing whether the "fake half-punch" really happened. If he did, well then that's tool-behavior for sure; but I have the feeling that a large majority on vital may be mistaking secondary info for fact. From the broadcast, all you could see between the two was words and a handshake.

Did you watch the race?
Barcia was jawing with Kilbarger first. Commercial, etc... during Barcia interview I believe is when they showed the Lipanovich episode.
He wasnt "jawing with Kilbarger...He's friends with Kilbarger...Kilbarger is is riding partner down at his new "facility".

I have a feeling once Barcia moves up to the 450's he is going to get cleaned out a lot.

Barcia was totally justified. These people need to pull over as the AMA rulebook states, not bloke the track thinking they can stay ahead of the leaders or pretending not to see the blue flags at every corner. They changed the outcome of the race, just like in the big boy class.

Oh and someone coach Blake Baggett on the podium. I know it's new to these kids to have mics shoved in their faces, but Erin asked him a question and he said 2 words and just launched into his sponsors like a robot. Watch some clips of Reed kids and take notes
Or he could just watch Eli Tomac, 16yrs old and interviews like a pro.
Eli Tomac was born 11-14-1992 so that makes him 18 NOT 16,still he interviews good...Wink

I thought Ralph, Fro and RC have said before the blue flags just warn of being lapped and the riders aren't "required" to pull over. Hell, they're racing too, just not as fast unfortunately. I could, and may well be wrong on this!!!!

Start black flagging riders once you are lapped and score them where they were when lapped. Then you'd have 5-6 guys racing at the end with no excuse for getting beat (sarcasm)!!

Just found this in rulebook, open for interpretation!!!!

Solid Blue Flag :
• Indicates you are about to be overtaken by faster
riders.
• When conditions allow, move out of the fast line.
• Hold your line (don’t ride erratically) and do not
impede the faster riders progress.
• Riders disregarding this flag may be black-flagged at
the discretion of Race Director.

when deano made the pass on barcia he could of punted him right of the track. Dean didn't even run him that high, he made the clean pass and the rest was history.

Sean Lipanovich has always been in the way though, even last year.
